Does the clutch pedal feel normal (there's is resistance)?

When you try to put it in gear, do you hear grinding?

Try bleeding the clutch line/slave cylinder and see if that helps. Could be air in the system.

If you can shift into all gears while the engine is not running, then the shift linkages are fine.

try and put it in gear with the car off and then start it to see if it moves. if it does then your clutch probably wont disengage most likely from a loose spring or something.

^If it's the release bearing then you'd still be able to put it in gear with the engine not running...

Also, in some cases, if you have a bad release bearing, you should be able to hear it chattering while the engine is running and the noise will stop the instant you press the clutch.
