No gears>???

Hey guys so I got this 95 teg, new motor, transmission, clutch, car starts fine but will not go into gear? no modifications, all bone stock, motor is from japan, clutch comes back up so i dont think its the master cylinder..could it be the shift linkages? any insight guys? thanks..

Does the clutch pedal feel normal (there's is resistance)?

When you try to put it in gear, do you hear grinding?

Try bleeding the clutch line/slave cylinder and see if that helps. Could be air in the system.

If you can shift into all gears while the engine is not running, then the shift linkages are fine.

try and put it in gear with the car off and then start it to see if it moves. if it does then your clutch probably wont disengage most likely from a loose spring or something.

nah cant, i have been told it is the release bearing!! other than that the teg runs mint, bu tjuss picked up a lude, so now i want to sell it!

^If it's the release bearing then you'd still be able to put it in gear with the engine not running...

Also, in some cases, if you have a bad release bearing, you should be able to hear it chattering while the engine is running and the noise will stop the instant you press the clutch.
