Default Overheating question

Ok... this may be a stupid question but today i noticed my temp guage was right on the "H" as i was coming home from work. Normally it doesnt pass the halfway point. No warning light came on at all. I checked the rad didnt seem to be leaking and there was a decent amount of fluid in the resevoir. Whats my problem? Maybe the fans not coming on, a fuse missing? Thermostat needs replace? somebody help me out.

thanks

Im gonna lean towards the Thermostat since you said your rad was full and said there were no leaks.

The level in the reservoir doesn't mean anything. You should check the level in the rad (when it's cooled down...lol).

Check the fuses. It is possible the rad fan wasn't coming on.

turned out it was the temp sensor and a relay.. both were blown so the fans werent coming on when the car got hot. We still arent sure how the relay fried but regardless its all fixed now.

Relays fry over time. Nothing unsual.
