it literally won't pass 3000rpms? need alittle more info then just that.

If you're belt broke you probly bent some valves.Might wanna check that out.

Also you might have one nasty wornout clutch and it's just slipping servierly.

My clutch is currently slipping on occasion,At it's worst times it won't go past 3grand if i tried my best,Just have to baby it and away she'll go the next day.

bro i'd say just swap a new engine with 100k clicks or so, u can find one for around 6 to 700. i'd say rather then troubleshooting and going through the headache just spend the money it will cost you around 1G with a new engine and installation. Look at it this way if you get a engine in a good condition it probably won't burn oil, and you'll have low mileage than what you probably have rite now on your current engine.
My friend asked for an engine a while ago and they told him 475 for his 96 integra and thats a b18b i'm sure u can find a b18A cheaper than that.
But before you do this i'd say find out if it really is the problem with the valves or timing. Don't get me wrong its just a suggestion i.e if you got the money to spend.
Btw when you do try to accelerate what exactly happens when it gets to 3k rpm
lemme know I see if I can help you out.

Give us a lot more details. Describe exactly what's happening now.

The best way to determine the problem is to buy a compression tester and a leakdown tester then proceed from there. A compression tester is about $45 and a leakdown tester is $90 at princess auto. Unless you know a person that can lend you one.

That's the best way to troubleshoot your engine problem and they'll tell you exactly whats wrong with your engine.

Also make sure you didn't swap the tps connector with the map sensor connector. Remember that Jonn...lol

sorry i forgot to mention. motors toast. i didnt read part of that..hehe oops. your valves are bent, head gaskets blown. just put in a new motor..its a waste of time trying to fix this one. also check out the IAC, and your spark plug gap. theres a million things that could be wrong. but if the cold start makes it idle REALLY rough, like its choking. then your compression is bouncing and one cyl isnt firing right.

have you checked if there is moisture (watery) in the plug wires or even on the plug itself. that might be the cause

If you did the leakdown & compression test and everything is fine, get a hold of a mulitmeter and check you Crank Position Sensor.

your valves are bent, and probably smashed up your pistins pretty good. I know this from experiance. get a new mechanic..that dudes n idiot. its cheaper to get a new motor then it is to worry about the one u blew. good luck.

Do you have adjustable cam gears? It may have slipped. Timing is off.
