Default Car no start.......

Alright before anything else is said 2008 = BULLSHAT!

ok so i got my car back from the mechanic, and before giving it to them it was starting fine, car did drain the battery when it was off due to electrical issues but they were going to be taken care of today... but cant because ------ car wont start.

I boosted it, its not a battery problem
I checked if anything else could be not connected that was a negative

All that happens when i try starting is i hear 1 click after i turn the key but no spark! what coulld it be???

I hear it might be the main relay but i couldnt tell ya, it was running great last night. Drove it home all the way from Keswick no problems.

It started when you boosted it?

Could be the starter, try a bump-start.

Also, if the battery is really drained a boost won't help it. I've been there, done that. You need to trickle charge it. Stick a volt-meter on it and see what the reading is?

i told him it could be a bad ground from the starter itself, ignition switch, or the neutral safety switch. since he has an alarm.

if it was the main relay engine should still turn over but no spark, but the motor dosnt turn over at all. just click once

when i put directly positive to positive nothing really happened
so i decided to try puting the positive from the batt to the negative on the starter to see if its grounded properly, it was it sparked, and the starter moved. Car still wont start though. Thusee said it may be the neutral switch on the alarm that can be ------- everything up, anyone know about this???something about making my car think its in gear and not allowing a start.

yes he does
i was thinking something about the safety switch, and the ground for the starter, because the tranny was replaced so the guy could have not tightend something proper...

If that was the case you could still bump-start it. Unless the entire ignition was disabled, not just the starter.
