Default hi-flow cats...

anyone know where to get them for a good price? i was quoted 250 at one place, does that sound right?
what brand do u guys recoomend? i asked for magnaflow.
so far im thinking test pipe is cheaper haha i kno i kno save the environment..blah blah blah :finger:

you can pick up a universal magnaflow high-flow cat at canadian tire for around 80-100 bucks.

you just need to find a shop to install it for you.......

they have like 2", 2.25" and i belive also 2.5" diameter universal converters. no flanges so you gotta have them welded them on.

so they wont have a spot for the o2 either right? i cant remember if the o2 is supposed to be at the end of the header or the front of the cat

nope....you gotta have a o2 bung welded in also.....if the o2 is on the cat...

the o2 is in the collector of the manifold/header pipe. your cat does not have a o2 in it. so all you would need at the flanged and someone to weld it all togeather.

it should have... obd1 should have one... obd2 should have one there as well as one right before the cat

OBD1 LS/RS B18B engine has the primary o2 sensor bung on the header collector.

OBD1 GSR B18C engine has the primary o2 sensor bung on the cat.

the LS/RS header collector is slightly longer which is why the o2 bung is in the collector.

the OBD2's are the same except they all have secondary o2 sensor's after the converter...

anyone kno wat issues id have if i used this gsr header and jus extended the flang on the cat and put a bung in there?
or if i used a b18c5 header?

ya you should be able to have an exhaust shop just extend a pipe from the front of the converter and weld in a o2 bung.......

but if i get teh b18c5 they would have to shorten the cat slightly?
