Default Liscense Plate Lights

My liscense plate lights are not working. It's a 95 integra. I bought new bulbs, the fuse is fine because the tail lights and break lights are working. Does anyone know where the plate wires run because i can't reach that far from underneath. I have no idea how to replace it, any tips would be nice. Thanks

i'd say if you have time on your hands remove the bumper and trace the wiring but from the looks of it, it seems like it might tie into the harness that powers your back lights....don't go removing your bumper or anything that drastic just yet though, remove the licence plate bulb, turn your lights on and check for power and ground at each end of the connector where the bulb goes then go from there....

FYI don't remove your bumper unless you know for sure there's no rust around where it mounts up and unless you know and are 100% positive it'll go back on flawlessly

The wiring for the licence lights go behind the cover in the trunk. you need to remove the back panel cover that covers the very back on the trunk, and the wiring goes down the right side of the car on the inside of the trunk. You'll see 2 wires going throw the back of the car behind the bumper.

bad connections at the connector for ur bulbs... check for power and ground? water tends to rot the connector out

i wish i had taken a pic of what i did with the rear licence plate lights when the bracket which holds them rotted on my car. i pretty much removed my bumper, rivetted a thin piece of sheet metal across that gap, got the interior trunk light that's mounted on the inner quarter panel covers, wired it to my day times and worked like a charm, could've even see it under there....if i were you i'd just cut it out right off the bat and rewire it yourself and save the headaches....

thanks everyone for your help. I really appreciate it. I'm going to remove the interior back panel and try to see if there are any connection problems if I can't find out what's wrong then I'm going to rewire the trunk light.

nick before you do that, just be careful removing the clips especially if they're still in good shape, in tact and still holding everything in place nice and tightly. when i had my 94 dc2 i swapped my tan interior to black and i was rough with the clips and broke them all. use a small flat head to lift up or press down on the center part of the clips and a pair of side cutters to lift the other piece out....they're not expensive to replace and easy to come by at the dealer but try to save them to save your wallet...goodluck!

i think my integra came with some missing clips, it's in pretty bad condition but it's my project, it's some great advice though, i remember taking them out before and breaking one of them. thanks a lot though

You can get the clips fro parts source way cheaper then the dealer.
