HID kit you mean? I don't believe the light would disperse as well compared to a clear lens because of the flutes in the lens. I've seen G2's, Corrolas and older camry's wih HID retro's done and those people have all removed the flutes from the lenses.

ironic - you were the 1st to do it on a matrix and also did them on your legacy.

Eric,

Most HIDs Kit make the light output worse. If someone tells you different they probably have the garbage kit or are selling them to you. reason why I say as well as most who have done the retro is the light outpout cannot be harnessed properly with the given housing causing the annoying "glare" you see from the HID kits found on the market and those people will always get pulled over by the police wondering why.

If you want an effective set up, help your brother and source out parts for a HID retro.

Information can be found at www.hidplanet.com

Good Luck!

OR .... just a suggestion instead of clearing the fluted cover....

Buy the ebay "jdm" haha.. projectors for g2 integras .. they have clear plastic covers and will also allow you to do your own retrofit or put in your own HID kit.

there was one member here that had HID's in his gen 2 ...don't remember if he had 3pc or 1pc...either way it can be done, won't work as effective but still get a good light output...try looking it up on g2ic

That would work if not for the extra money you'd spend on the projectors, but if you're willing great idea. I'm actually in the process of putting HID's on my Volvo and have to buy the CRX projectors in order for it to work properly.

I wanted to give my brother a set of HID's for Christmas for his 93 GSR. I have been reading on G2teg and H-T, but cant seem to get a clear opinion from someone who has actually tried this setup.

People say that they "dont think" the light dispersion would be great.

Anyone here able to help me on how this setup works?

Thanks!
never tried on a normal head light.. but i seen others buying projectors and den doing hid installs on those.

^hey, those aren't bad at all. To make them black all you would have to do is open em up Mark and spray paint the crome flat black. Its been done. Would look pretty good i'd say.

there is a guy a Mercedes Tech who does it for 150$ he knows how to position a bulb. i have asked him to show me but he doesnt want to show me. " Bring money and your hedlights and ill doit for you. I might doit on my fiances Eclipse.
