Default car won't start...electrial problem...

any insight would be great, i'm stuck at work right now.. :crook:
basically, i re-located the battery to the back, i have my amp setup as normal (positive to the battery, ground and remote)
i just put in a new battery last night, and now it's dead, well atleast i think it's dead because if i turn the key, there's nothing. no electrial comes on at all. the only other thing i can think of would be that my alarm's siron isn't connected. i'm not sure what could be causing this draw on the battery?

Could be your amp isn't turning off. Check the remote wire.

could be the alternator or a bad ground.

Something is draining your battery. This used to happen to me all the time too. New battery and still car dead in the morning.

Turned out to be a short, and it caused my climate control to stay on all night.

So in order to prevent this I had to always remember to keep everything on the off position before I left the car.

Now that i've fixed the prob its such a big stress relief! sometimes i'd be the last person out from work, and stuck with a dead battery! THANK YOU CAA! lol

Check all your grounds, check your alternator wire and make sure that is hooked up good.

pull the battery cables off the battery and test the battery with a multimeter,
you should get aprox 12.6 volts. if battery itself test ok, test the ground with the multimeter, you should get .3 ohms or less ressistance on the ground cable to the chassis (did you ground the battery to the chassis at the rear, or extend the ground cable from the engine bay to the rear?, shorter the ground the better). Test the positive cable from the battery to ground while it is disconnected from the battery and check for continuity to see if you positive cable is grounding out somewhere. If that checks out ok check for continuity of the wire itself from the engine bay to the rear to make sure there are no breaks in the wire, check the resistance of the positive cable from the engine bay to the rear should be very little resistance. also when making ground connection in the rear ground to the chassis attached to the frame, scrape any paint or rubberized coating away till there is bare metal, and check to make sure you won't screw through anything on the under side of the vehicle.
