Default 6x9 in car??

ok so here is my problem, when i got my car it didnt come with any speakers at all, i took the aftermarket 6x9s out of my grand prix and hooked them up and they are just sitting on top at the back..they sound like ---- becuase they arnt in anything but my question is does anyone have 6x9s hooked up at all? is there a way anyone has installed them by cutting something or should i just build a box?? i dont really want to go out and have to buy speakers for the rear as these are saphires and are 600watts each and sound great, lmk what you guys have done or suggest, thanks.

They will fit in the back spots on the DC's you just have to remove the oem bracket aswell, and then figure a way to keep them from moving, the fronts they will not fit, and it's not worth it to try to make them fit. There's just some things you just spend the money and get the right parts, and the fronts are it.

I can take a pic but it wont be clear because I really dont want to take my seats out and take the side pannel out.ill take a snap of the cover off. Its really cold. Ill c what I can do.

What i did was take out the black foam that supports the speakers. Only 1 screw is holding the speaker in place. Only 1 screw can go in, because its 6x9, the dimention of the bolt pattern isnt aligned with the speaker. You can make a bracket by welding it to the inner frame and make a hole in the bracket for a bolt to hold the speaker. But mine are just resting on the frame and they havnt moved yet.

i would love to take pics for ya but dont got my car and like overdose said you have to take out the back seats and the side panels to really see what you gotta do.

Its really not to difficult just add some reinforcements to the speaker 2 brackets should do. and the thing about separting the speaker i have never heard of that before.

Seperating the speaker is really stupid. Might as well buy a 10inch subwoofer.

You dont even need to make brackets. Just one screw will hold it and rest the speaker on the inner body.

OHHHHHHHHH. your putting it in a DA.

Simple, just put it on an angle. it will rest on the headrest of the seat. Dont even have to put a screw in.

Whats aith all the foam stuff.

DA speakers are 6.5" around.
i prefer how the DC speakers are located on the side of the backseats, i dont like them near the top.

well DC's are suppose to be 6.5" all around but with little mods you can put 6x9 in the back. Simple.
