Car wont start
Hey everyone,
Im new to the forum and new to integras, mostly work with turbo volvo's.
I have a 98 GS and I ran out of gas or atleast think I did. I put gas in and it cranks but no start.
At first I was under the impression the timing belt snapped but I removed the valve cover today and tried to start it. Noticed the serpentine belt turns but not the tbelt. I also noticed that there is a bit of slack on the tbelt but it doesnt seem to be broken. Any insight as to why the crankshaft isnt turning would be greatly appreciated. Maybe the belt is broken and thats where the slack same from? I tried pulling on the belt to see if it was broken but nothing.

how many kms on the engine? it could be what happened to mine where the teeth on the belt stripped off and the crank couldnt get a hold of it anymore, i'd be pulling the timing cover off and checking the belt further down. if this is the case and there are no teeth on the belt cross your fingers and put a new tbelt in and hope it didnt bend any valves, i got lucky with mine all the vavles were closed when it stripped.
