Made out of aluminum? why don't you copy the original design? And Dave Yo is right, never 1 bolt tisk tisk. You should get it anodized as well, would look better and more durable. But nice skills to make it yourself!

Props on the DIY but i'm not really feeling the design of it. personally i'd try to do a cross between the benen and the GE.

Does your car breakdown a lot or something? what's the purpose? Surely a tow truck driver would never go near that if they needed to tow you.

Nice that you did it yourself, but I'm going to have to say rice.

Yup sorry it's rice...If the car isn't a race car then there is no point. I mean even on my race car I only have a front tow strap coming out of the front bumper. The stock one in the rear is more then fine.

Well ORIGINALLY they were meant for racecars that had no tow hooks or the stock ones couldn't be used because of how low the vehicle was and aero pieces like front splitter and rear diffusers. If a car went off in a gravel trap or into a tire wall the tow trunk just had to hook up chain and pull them back to the pits or paddock.

My front tow strap came in handy last month when I crashed during a race and cracked my oil pan, broke a driveshaft, steering rack, bent the rad support and frame and all the tow truck had to do was hook up to my front tow strap and tow me back to the paddock. My rear stock tow hook is easily accesible but the stock front one is not.

Tow hooks are proper If you fall in a ditch it's a easy way for a tow truck to hookup without dammaging your $----.

Thanks...and don't even get me started on the red headed stepchild in the first pic.

^ Now your resorting to personal attacks which i believe is uncalled for. You took everything too personally and had to resort to photos. Wow. Very immature in my opinion.

ok Mark, relax. most of us know the primary function. there's others that like the tow hook simply because of it's appearance. plain and simple. you stated one, she stated the other. leave it at that.

If you're in a ditch chances are having a place to hook onto that won't further damage your fucked up bumpers is not much of a concern.

I think it looks like ----. The unpainted rusty area is a nice touch.

Total fail.

So what if i was looking at your profile? you seem to get angry and lash out really fast... just saying. Like mark said just relax bro. What she said cant really be considered a personal attack but w.e think what you want. I just don't think its fair your using their pics and looks to get back at them for 2 stupid comments. I'm honestly tired of defending ppl on this site, you guys duke it out all you want, site is going downhill anyway. Seems nowadays little tiny disagreements turn into a big flame fest or a war or something.
