i could care less who thinks they are gay or not, all i know is that i'm glad i have mine because if not, when i blew a tire and had to tow the car home, the tow truck driver just latched onto the hook and not under my bumper/lip which would have torn it right off.

the tow truck driver told me that i'm luckey i have those, or else my cf lip at the time would have been mashed.

also, he coulden't fit the hook/chain around the rear LCA on the passenger side because of the 3inch exhaust, so he used the back tow hook to hold the car down.

Good point. However, this one happens to be held on with a bolt. Yours is probably the same, possible more bolts. Easy enough to take out of the trunk and install when needed rather than cruising around looking like you made a wrong turn off the track. Plus, when installed they're hazerdous to other people/cars if you happen to hit someone, or they hit you.

^I have the benen hooks, both held on by two bolts that are alot thicker/longer than the stock three bolts on the front. i rather not leave it in the trunk and install it when i need to get the car towed because it would be a big pain in the *** to install it with a front mount intercooler. plus i'd rather not do that because you could be on the side of a road and that doesn't seem too safe....

but people will always have their opinions about them, that they are rice, not needed if you don't track your car...etc etc. as for me, i coulden't care less what other people say because they are not the ones who are going to pay for a new lip/bumper for my car when i have to tow it. i've had them before everyone and their mom started to put them on, i purchased them shortly after i had to tow the car and i had to remove the bumper/lip to get up on a flatbed (which was the biggest pain in the ***, hence why i got the hooks)

and besides...where the hell else am i gonig to hang my monkey from? lol jk

i'm likely getting front & rears... likely machined by a friend in aluminum with 2 bolts on each
and i want it for looks and functionality.. not gonna lie, i like how they look.
and i much prefer someone hit a tow hook rather than crack my bumper in a parking lot
plus i race.. finally tried drag this year, and have done autocross in the past

and i agree with the front, you can't just easily bolt that on with where it bolts to.. i can see the rear like that, however i don't carry tools in my car 24/7 so that's kind of ridiculous too

i give you props for making one yourself, however the weight of you is nowhere near the weight you'd put on the hook if you were to actually tow your car.. if i were a tow truck driver i'd never use that hook you put on, pretty sure it would just rotate if used.. and it doesn't look trustworthy to hold and not break
