Opinion on this cf hood- 30$
This guy from texas is going to give it to me for 30$. its carbon fiber. but is in the forst condition. Do you think its fixable. Like even if i sand it and paint it black. i just want it for the light weight

No!
It's wrecked. Think of shipping from Texas. That could rip right in half at a good speed with the existing cracks in it. Spend the money and buy a more structurally sound hood, many CF hoods fade and then people get rid of them.

you could fibre glass it and sand that then paint, but depends on how much work you wanna put into it.

so why not get him to do it? if they can fix it up really nice, then no use in doing it yourself. if it costs like 200 to fix, still better than 400 new.

don't waste your time.
personally i wouldn't even bother with a CF hood. i almost bought one for cheap. i drove to sauga to look at it and the skin was separating from the skeleton.

When I got my front end it came with a carbon fibre hood but it was really scratched up I was just gonna sand it down and paint it black but I look at the hood and was like this is way to cheap. I would wait for someone that is selling a used one that is faded but not that damage. Save your money for the swap and the parts you need dammit lol
