Well, I sold my EF civic for a more "mature" car. Its a 2002 Infiniti G20 Sport which is LOADED to the tits. I have always loved Nissan, ever since i was 16 years old. So its time to build another one! Got lots of things already planned already for it.

Comments welcome.

Its FWD you can't put an RB20 in there lol.

But what engine does it have in it nizmo, it looks like an SR or is it something else? Glad to see a Nissan though ;) haha. It looks like a nice car and very clean.

If so SR20DE with a VE head swap and back to the old days? Or SR20DET?

All G20's come with a SR20DE and the 00-01 G20's came with a roller rocker SR20DE. I will be looking into getting a VE and had some happy juice to it lol. I would love to go DET, but i think that would ruin what a G20 is about... comfort, reliable, and 4-door family car lol. Plus i know if i go DET, i wouldnt stay outta it and i would want more and more boost!

we will see tho

Datenshi 12-26-2010 09:58 AM

Haha, probably true.. kinda defeats the purpose if you end up with a 350HP+ G20 lmao.

Lemme know how it goes and when you get started on what your doing. I'm pretty interested to see what you do with it.

-A couple MAF adapters
-and another rare piece, a RSTB, custom made on my sr20-forum.

I used to watch these cars in the British Touring Car Championship on Speedvision. They are known as Nissan Primera's over there and in Japan. Brings back many memories:

Ryan, congrats on the new car. Just from the pics in the first post, it looks like it's in really good condition, loving the colour. Happy that you got a car with all the extras, well-deserved. :yeah: No doubt, as the weather gets better and you personalize it to your liking, it'll even be that much better. :)

***update***

Well, for sometime there has been a MASSIVE clunk on my front suspension. We stressed tested every part! Ball joints are fine, sway bar links are good, bushings look and feel solid, upper links are mint... wtf can it be? Whenever i go over bumps, pothole or crease in the road my car has a "drop" sound followed be a massive clunk!

So i decided to replace the sway bar links because they were only $20 lol. Problem solved...for the most part. Since the front suspension is SO tight, it is sooooo hard to determine the problem. But shes fixed.....kinda

One more problem i would like to ask for opinions on. I also found out that my front left caliper moves when wiggled. Not the bracket, the caliper! I replaced both sides with new slider pins, bolts and washers. Still has the same amount of play. what gives?

Opinions are VERY welcome.

3sgte@daspeedof 01-12-2011 11:31 PM

Sounds to me like your piston is not moving.

MPR 01-13-2011 08:08 AM

Brake calipers are supposed to have some play and be able to "float".

Without seeing in person what you are describing, it's difficult to judge.

As for the front end clunk, I've had the same thing for over a year. Though I'm pretty sure on mine it's the upper control arms.

Ryan, have you looked at the sway bar bushings as well?

Yup, replaced the sway bar link and bushings which fixed the massive clunk.

I honestly think i need a new caliper, it clamps just fine but i think the hole where the slider pins go into are "bored out" inside. I think with the high kms, the inside of the slider pin hole is more of an oval shape inside.

You know what that means right? BREMBO UPGRADE!!! Sicne the 04-06 spec-vs share some of the same kingpin design, their brembos literally bolt up to my G20! woot!!!!

AcuratePaul 01-13-2011 03:53 PM

+1 on Brembo's :yeah:

Never hurts to get new calipers

After seeing the coil-overs that bought stare at me allllllll day at work for nearly 3 weeks... i broke down and installed them. The install went real smooth with a big thanks to beca and paul for helping me out. It was super easy to do and was my first time installing suspension on a car like this. The setup is NOTHING like a honda, the strut does not move when you turn the wheels.... they are stationary. I will let the pics do the talking.

The good stuff, Koni's on Eibach ground control's

AcuratePaul 01-16-2011 09:47 PM

Woohoo. Always a pleasure to help out :yeah:

It was very simple setup to install and I thought honda's were the easiest things to work on.
