lol well I'm sorry to burst everyone's bubbles, but I'm doing the car the way I wanna do it, u can call it hype all u want, but I know what I want and I like this look, so until it is legal to import an ITR DB8 I'm doing this baby to be a damn good lookalike, even if that means putting on the stickers even though it will never be the "real deal" :laugh1:
and of course not everyone can f'in afford to do motor and cosmetics all at once, to me, doing appearance first was more of a priority than motor so y'all call suck my.......:GrinDev:

on that note, shop charged me $100 to re-paint all 4 rims

something something somethin....don't fake the funk!

well just yet..wait til you've got all the internals before slappin on the itr stickers...it just gives more leeway for crooks to take interest in your car...

i encourage you to build it how you want and so far it looks good, but be wary about how you go abouts flaunting it...there are quite a few itr elitist on here that may see differently..

did they charge you 100 to finish 4 rims with clear coat and what not? or did they give you that deal because you were painting the car the same color anyways?

And you can tell from that on picture alone?

the only thing DB8 about your gf's car is the stickers and licence plate, because if you look at the engine bay its an LS motor, and if you look at the vin# its should say DB6 or DB7. Whats so ------- DB8 about that? You got a bunch of DB8 parts, it still doesnt mean that it is one.

We all know where she learned all her funk faking skills...see your "spooned out" civic coupe

Im gonna go out now and buy an ITR wing, seats, motor and wheels, paint my car CW and its an ITR.

Thanks for the input, I don't usually flaunt stuff, but I figured I'd document this from the start cuz it's my first car! And I know there are tons of cars in my area and Toronto/GTA that would be teefed wayyy b4 mine, if the thieves are smart lol

It's not like what I'm saying that I have isn't anything you couldn't figure out for urself when u see me drive by, I'm admitting I have a stock motor that's no sekrat, so if anything were to happen *knocks on wood* I'd hope that me posting pics on the forams didn't somehow put the crooks at an advantage :dunno:

I dunno, stupid thieves, if they would just leave our ---- alone

i give you probs for the project, Looks good, youv put alot of money into it. Who cares if it isnt a real db8. I mean you should be able to sport whatever you want on your car and not get critisized about it, I rock rotas, becasue i cant afford baller rims. People shud just let you do your own thing without getting critisized about it.

good work

Anybody can buy a JDM vin tag, does it say DB8 on your MOT papers? Does it say DB8 on the firewall?

First you say its not a DB8, now youre saying its a DB8. Make up your mind.

Whatever, its your car so wtf do I care. But I think you could have built yourself a nice car without having to replicate a ITR sedan

dude ur car is still worth $999. If something happened to it u would get nothing. Modifications such as urs devalues the car and insurance companies would only cover "maintenance items"

thats my experience with insurance companies

The same could be said about most of us though. Anybody who modifies their car takes that risk. On my 1999 Integra GS-R after 3 engine swaps and a few different suspension setups and all the other crap I've probably spent close to $30,000 not including the price of the car. If something happened to it, insurance would give me the cost of a 1999 GS-R.

The best insurance I have is a daily driver that I take when my car will be out of sight. I barely drive the Integra unless I know it'll be in my sight the whole time.

So unless the car is completly stock, no one is getting anything from insurance.

Did anyone read the thread posted today from Honda Tuning??? here's the link https://www.torontointegras.ca/forum...ad.php?t=25511 Talking about everyone hating on what other people do?? To each their own. Do your car the way YOU like it, YOU have to drive it not anyone else.

CAR is officially out of the shop

Before anyone says anything about there being no grill, I am waiting on my new cf hood to come in. Should be here early next week, If I put the grill in, the hood would rub aganist it.

Opinions please

lmfao poor lil guy took things too seriously

I'm not trying to say that it is a real db8, i just found it ironic that u mentioned vin tag.....jeez relaxxxxxx

anyway to me, this is the nicest car I could have built, because I have always loved the 4-door R and will always love it
what you think is ur opinion, so really what might be a nice car to u might not be to me etc..

haha I love how ppl are acting like I'm the first car ever to have a full paint job done to it and parts put on it

I know how insurance companies get to u, but that goes for basically everyone that mods their cars. I've been advised to get it appraised so we shall see.

Thanks for the concern.
