New Challenger
Spotted this at Trinity Commons last night:
A pretty hot looking car, certainly not cut from the same mould as most cars these days. It'll sell well, amongst those who can afford to gas it up

From what I heard this isnt a mass produced car. GM took a prototype to all of the GM plants, and whoever wanted one had to sign up for it. If they reached a certain number they were going to start producing them. I dont know if this is true or not, but you probably wont see too many of these on the streets for a while yet. Either way, car is sexy! Have some pictures of it from the auto show last year, identical to the one you have pictured here.

that ain't no gm thats a mopar g2tegg lol...
and i saw one two days ago downtown with dealer plates it looks so beautiful rolling.
This years challenger is only being produced in the srt8 trim package i believe with an automatic transmission. Next year it will have more trim levels and will incorporate the same tranny the viper uses.

They are only producing 60,000 cars/yr. @ $38g CAD. They are all SRT8 for the first year at least. Also, the Brampton assembly plant was the only plant we retooled in order to support this platform.
Erick correct me if I'm wrong cause it's been months since they let me go.

The unveiling was today actually, The #1 car went to Craig Jackson of Barret/Jackson auction and it went for $400,000. Jay Leno got #'s 3,4,5 I believe and Richard Petty got #48 I think and they were purchased for around $175,000/ea. The car has sold out for 2008 but in 2010 it will come with the 6.3L HEMI and 6speed manual. Just like when the first SRT-8 pilot came out, the 6.3L prototype broke the bead on the tires from the test runs. It's nuts fast. but has a crazy blind spot.
