Well you can get a basic vtec convertion kit from www.full-race.com for 80 or 90, then you have to buy a headgasket, and you have everything you need. Very cheap build. Don't expect reliablility from that setup though, especially if your reving past 8k.

or you can buy the blackworks kit from teknotic for 200.
Realisticly you need two dowel pins, and the vtec oil lines. both of those options will come with everything you need to bolt a vtec head to a b20/b18.

If you want reliabiliy, you will build it with a spare block, get it checked, replace the bearing, rodbots, pistons/rings. and then got to town reving to +8k

^^^ yeah the blackworks kit I can get for $170 U.S. on Internet. Where is Teknotic? Cash, no taxes?!?! I am sure I will be doing Pistons and Rods, but not going to be revving at 8K+ to be honest lol..Rodbolts, head studs, cams, gears, and Blackworks valvetrain may be in the plans...dont know yet..trying to work everything out..may just do the vtec conversion, couple bolt ons and go boost, as previously stated im looking to hit 220-250whp...so dont need to go overboard, but if the funds and the greed is there I may do it!!

So huge thanks to 92BlackDA for hooking me up, and even though it is super clean, next week I am taking it apart and sending it to be acid washed so it will look brand new, looking at full blackworks valvetrain, but not on the next shipment of parts..

**Next 2 weeks should produce a VTEC Kit, some ARP goodies, and possibly a rad & exhaust..please stay tuned**

Once again your input, tips, and constructive criticism is always helpful!!

Thanks buddy, well with the power I will be getting out of this set up I think I will need a very simple turbo setup to put me over the top..and for next summer that is what I will be shooting for, and upgrade over the next winter, so I am going to go with a used turbo, maybe a mishimoto FMIC, piping seems similar from seller to seller, and go with a a cast iron manifold, and everything else I am going to look at the most value oriented to be honest. Or if I come across a good part at a great price, ofcourse.

soo I am getting a good deal on a Integra GSR, and due to me needed such items as:

VTEC DISTRIBUTOR
OIL PUMP
ECU

I can buy this and save the purchase price on those and a couple other items that I may need, it has been rebuilt, and I am sure I can part the rest out to break even (at least) to save some money, what you guys think?

Just keep the Teg with the better body so you can save money that way no?

Or the fact that it's rebuilt does it have an affect?

no, my body is in way better condition, having the motor rebuilt is a good thing, new gaskets seals etc...im trying to figure out whether i should take the time and effort to break even on this gsr to get my parts for free, basically saving me close to $400 on my build...

Got an update. **NEW SHELL**

The pics of my Teg right now, they body is rough. So while picking up this Integra for a part out (blown motor) when it arrived I saw how clean the body and interior is. One owner, no accidents, its a true 2000, and its Vogue Silver Mettalic, which I think will look clean with my PIAA rims. Pictures up tonight!!!

^^^^so i bought it to strip and part out, but with a body like that; it would be a shame...so i am going to swap my drivetrain/suspension/rims etc into this shell.

Pros:
One owner
Lady Driven
No accidents
A Legit 2000 Model
MINIMAL rust

what you guys think??

MINT! Forget the red one, the silver one is awesome.

you picked up a good SE Teg. as for the Rust on the qp...once fixing the only downside may be that the silver wont match to the rest of the car if you get it done at a body shop. Silver is super hard to match.

But everything else is mint, + the extra chipped key security is noice in the 2000 if you do have it. I see an oem deck. Don't think this teg was ever molested, good buy!

thats gonna be the last complete part out for a while, its hectic. the pics below are the interior/trash bin, and my attempt at taking out the rear passenger side triangle window for a fellow member(Sorry Tim) - the pic you see is RIGHT after i took the panels out from inside, and slowly pryed the glass with a slim jim..
