OK so what you see in how I bought my 1995 RS Integra, I have more pics, but no USB to upload so will do them when I get a hold of one!

It came with the following Mods/Upgrades:

B20 MOTOR
B16 TRANNY
FRONT, REAR, C PILLAR SWAY BARS
NEW OEM EXHAUST
TOKICO BLUES
TEIN SPRINGS
(SITS PRETTY LOW)
SPOON REPLICA MIRRORS
JDM TYPE R STEERING WHEEL
CROSS DRILLED ROTORS
15" PIAA Black Gloss 5 Spoke Wheels

I have been inquiring alot on this forum as what I should do, what I shouldn't do, and what to do if I want "XXX" amount of power. This is my 3rd Integra, but never went all the way with one, just the normal stuff. My previous was a 1996 GSR, and a 1994 DC4 H22. All the work was done at shops, like all my other cars. This work that has gone into this Integra has been solely done in my garage.

Here is a list of what has been done so far:

GSR LEATHERS (Front & Rear)
Full 98+ Connversion (Front & Rear)
Tune Up (Oil Change, TB & Water Pump, NGK Platinum Spark Plugs, Taylor Wires)
AC Unit Removed
Oil Change
Transmission Flush
Re Manufactured Brake Calipers (Sprayed Red)
Fuzion HR1 Tires 205/60R/15
New Brakes
Godspeed Gold Lugs
Front & Rear Lower Stabilizer Bars
Megan LCA's
Rear Trunk Sprayed down all black
Leather Door Panels w/Red Fabricated Insets

I have pictures of most of this and will upload when I get a chance.

Future Mods:

Bodywork over Winter (maybe sooner)
Remove Power Steering
ABS
Battery & Fuse Box Relocation
Mild Wire Tuck
SS Fuel Lines/Brake Lines
SS Clutch Cable
Powercoat Bottom End/Valve Cover
Full Bolt Ons (Intake is on the way!)
Possible VTEC Conversion

If anyone has any suggestions, please share!!

Thanks.

AcuratePaul 05-26-2011 08:46 AM

Looks great man. Just a question why remove the power steering. That my friend is so needed makes life so easy. Everything else your planning sounds awesome. Looking forward to some pictures.

A b20 must rip in your car. Best bang for the buck motor honda makes. Great choice.

MALICE85 05-26-2011 02:23 PM

Yeah, its healthy! With the B16 Short gears its pretty quick..once the upgrades are installed and the conversion, hopefully ill run some good numbers..anybdy have a rough idea of what ill be pulling with Intake , IM(Skun2), Throttle Body(Skunk2), Headers (ceramic yonaka) & Exhaust (not sure of brand yet)?

obv it all depends..but mayeb some input??!?!

i got my usb..ill put pics up tonight...

So I took out the rear carpet, privacy cover, spare tire, jack, wood lol, and i cleaned it out, sprayed it with rust convertor, cleaned it out again, and then sprayed it with asphalt mix! A couple guys from the forum have seen it how it looks now, and thought it looked super clean. I dont have a picture of it right now..

So I replaced the front Mids with Alpine Type R Component Mids w/positioned tweeters, the rear has Lanzar Comp. Series Mids w/positioned tweeters. This will all be running through a JVC deck, and I have 2 10" Bazooka Tubes waiting to be installed right behind Driver & Passenger Front Seats (bolted to the carpet right under Rear Bench with a 500W Bazooka 2 channel Amp. I cant put anything in the trunk now, because there is nothing to support it!

Its going to pound with the tubes being right behind the seats!

Tomorrow I will post some pics of the new parts I bought, nothing that major, but some cool stuff....

So this is a question.

If I do the B20 Vtec set up before I go boost, how much extra power am I getting?! Because all in all, the whole Conversion is going to cost me about $1000. Is it really worth it??!?!

And when I tune it, do I go Vtec at XXXRPM and then spool at a higher RPM?!?

I have no idea..

Tomorrow, Headlights are being polished...

Will post before and afters..

AcuratePaul 06-11-2011 10:54 PM

Car looking nice man, coming along great.

That poor donor car you really got into it.

Delorean... Werent that good of a car, rare yes but nothing special. I have seen and been close to a lot so I know. I have some pics of the one that they used for back in the future movie. It is driven once a year in Toronto for st. Patricks day.

yeah its a cool car though, i looked inside it was jacked up..

yeah my part outs get pretty down to the bone lol...when the scrapper came to pick this up, he was like WTF? lol, the whole exhaust, brakes, calipers, interior, was gone, lol I had it sitting like that with no door for 3 days before i threw it away...i only got $90 for the whole car minus the rims lol...the cat was sold, which is big money for the scrappers, and i siphoned all the gas out, i got like 15-20 litres lol...gotta take wha u can!!

AcuratePaul 06-12-2011 05:55 AM

Lmao hope you didn't taste it.

B20 build thread? I haven't seen a single HP mod yet lol. All interior/exterior dress-up. It's looking better though and your question is at least inspiring :P

Did you really just spray bomb your calipers without taping anything off? You painted the shims, rubber, springs and the piston lol...

V-Tec isn't that amazing (but then again neither are any bolt ons), you may get 15 HP/TQ, also it would kick in around 4500-6000.. not sure anymore these days. Unless you get a ECU reflash.

Depending on the turbo you select and the numbers your looking for that's how you build a turbo car.. not just mishmash what you find together and make it work. Set a number you want, buy the appropriate turbo, injectors, etc.. You're supposed to know your goal... not us tell you what you'll make with "this".

If you got a GT25 or GT28, you're looking at spooling around 3000-3500 RPM's to be in peak boost.. you wouldn't notice v-tec that much IMO as you'd already be in boost. Then again, those turbos put down about 250-350 HP depending on which you pick.. and if Honda motors can take it and whats needed is beyond me. I assume most are high compression engines, though the B20 may not be. If it is, you need new pistons, connecting rods, etc..

Expensive idea, but good luck. :p

My suggestion would be ---- V-Takkk, and just get the turbo. 100+ HP > Honda fan boy status but if you can afford both.. power to you.

MALICE85 06-13-2011 01:11 AM

^^^ thanks for your insight, yeah everyone has so many different ways of building and producing power, I was thinking about skipping the VTEC too, but not sure..lol the reason why nothing has been done "build" wise is because I am moving end of month and need the car mobile to move into the new garage, once there the motor is coming out, and the work will start..right now im just taking care of a couple things here and there, and will start bodywork over winter...hopefully, this is just the start! as long as i dont lose interest,or really f**k up i want it done for next summer obviously, so got a lot of work ahead of me...

MALICE85 06-15-2011 08:49 PM

**UPDATE**

Worked out a great price for a B16 Head from 92BlackDA (No names in case he doesnt want ppl to know), but he is hooking me up! Picking it up on Friday, so will post pics when I get it in...No valve cover, but found a nice Mugen Cover that I may pick up. Also, some other parts came in, so will post those..

So I hope this counts as a HP Mod??!?!??!

If not, Im buying 10 stickers..6 WHP a piece!! lol..

The VTEC conversion kit is about $170 and since this head has already been plugged for the oil feed, is there somewhere I can buy the needed parts separately for possible cheaper? or just buy it and try to find a buyer for the extra items??!?!

Let me know, if i can save some money it would be nice!!!

3sgte@daspeedof 06-16-2011 11:06 AM

Well you can get a basic vtec convertion kit from www.full-race.com for 80 or 90, then you have to buy a headgasket, and you have everything you need. Very cheap build. Don't expect reliablility from that setup though, especially if your reving past 8k.

or you can buy the blackworks kit from teknotic for 200.
Realisticly you need two dowel pins, and the vtec oil lines. both of those options will come with everything you need to bolt a vtec head to a b20/b18.

If you want reliabiliy, you will build it with a spare block, get it checked, replace the bearing, rodbots, pistons/rings. and then got to town reving to +8k

MALICE85 06-16-2011 01:11 PM

^^^ yeah the blackworks kit I can get for $170 U.S. on Internet. Where is Teknotic? Cash, no taxes?!?! I am sure I will be doing Pistons and Rods, but not going to be revving at 8K+ to be honest lol..Rodbolts, head studs, cams, gears, and Blackworks valvetrain may be in the plans...dont know yet..trying to work everything out..may just do the vtec conversion, couple bolt ons and go boost, as previously stated im looking to hit 220-250whp...so dont need to go overboard, but if the funds and the greed is there I may do it!!

MALICE85 06-16-2011 01:12 PM

**headstuds obv because of the conversion**

So huge thanks to 92BlackDA for hooking me up, and even though it is super clean, next week I am taking it apart and sending it to be acid washed so it will look brand new, looking at full blackworks valvetrain, but not on the next shipment of parts..

**Next 2 weeks should produce a VTEC Kit, some ARP goodies, and possibly a rad & exhaust..please stay tuned**

Once again your input, tips, and constructive criticism is always helpful!!

Datenshi 06-18-2011 11:01 AM

Looking good dude. Glad to see some power adders ;D

If you need any info about turbo setup later, lemme know and I'll help with what I can.

Thanks buddy, well with the power I will be getting out of this set up I think I will need a very simple turbo setup to put me over the top..and for next summer that is what I will be shooting for, and upgrade over the next winter, so I am going to go with a used turbo, maybe a mishimoto FMIC, piping seems similar from seller to seller, and go with a a cast iron manifold, and everything else I am going to look at the most value oriented to be honest. Or if I come across a good part at a great price, ofcourse.

MALICE85 06-27-2011 08:22 AM

So I ordered my exedy slave and clutch master, but due to the post office and their strike, I dont know when I will be seeing my parts!!!

next week my Teg comes back home, sending the head to be machined and acid washed...pics to come!

aldrine 06-27-2011 08:26 AM

maybe i should keep my teg...lol

yessss...lol they have so much potential...i dont think id be able to sell this one, with the work going into it...that and the amount of money i would lose by selling it would not be worth it!!

AcuratePaul 06-27-2011 11:43 AM

Integras are the ----!

MALICE85 06-30-2011 06:39 PM

soo I am getting a good deal on a Integra GSR, and due to me needed such items as:

VTEC DISTRIBUTOR
OIL PUMP
ECU

I can buy this and save the purchase price on those and a couple other items that I may need, it has been rebuilt, and I am sure I can part the rest out to break even (at least) to save some money, what you guys think?

AcuratePaul 06-30-2011 07:40 PM

Just keep the Teg with the better body so you can save money that way no?

Or the fact that it's rebuilt does it have an affect?

MALICE85 06-30-2011 09:06 PM

no, my body is in way better condition, having the motor rebuilt is a good thing, new gaskets seals etc...im trying to figure out whether i should take the time and effort to break even on this gsr to get my parts for free, basically saving me close to $400 on my build...

tr1xst3r 07-12-2011 06:11 PM

awesome bro

MALICE85 07-13-2011 06:25 AM

thanks, more updates coming next week, been too busy to work on the teg!
