Look what I got for the long weekend...
happened at mccowan and ellesmere in scarborough, avoided one, hit the other...sad thing is the one i hit was even bigger, i stuck my foot in it and my ankle was easily in the pothole...great way to kick off the weekend
already filed a claim to the city...what are the chances of them paying for the damages?

City claims take long (what doesn't) but it's better then just :shurg: and taking it up the *** - metal OPC style :gay:
6-9 months from friend's experience
take pics of said pothole and close up pics car rim damage, note - time of day, weather ,speed you were travelleing and you will have ot fill out the insurance forms.
good luck.

Sorry to hear that man
but, you ain't seen nothing yet.
This is what I drive:
Look what I did the other week to it...
To start off, this was unavoidable and surely would have been a disaster.
I was backing my battery truck up onto a road, which was clear of any traffic at that particular moment. Just as I was clear of the driveway a tanker truck barreled around the corner way too fast. I had to reverse quick to get out of his way or else he would have hit me and the result was me blowing my tire out on a curb and denting the rim.
Battery truck + Tanker truck full of gas = bad day at the office :*****:

Sorry to see Vince. It looks pretty bad. That happened to me at Markham and Lawrence. But instead of my rim, it caught my Bomex front and put a nice crack in the left side right at the fender!!! The city case is not going to be an easy win!!
Good luck

thanks, seems like ill be needing the luck, what should i do now though? i mean i cant just wait for them to give me a reply, especially if it turns out to be just a denial...id prefer not to drive around with two steelies in the front...oh by the way, my bumper wasnt unaffected...the bottom of the left side is scraped, and the paint on the bumper is cracking due to the impact and flexing since the bumper is made of fiber glass, as logik already knows

damn yo that sucks...
thats my biggest fear everytime i hit a pothole.
my first reaction is to turn down the windows and listen for any weird noises...
burst a tire once on a pothole but so far no rims...
hope it all works out for the better
