http://photos.friendster.com/photos/...681651842l.jpg

happened at mccowan and ellesmere in scarborough, avoided one, hit the other...sad thing is the one i hit was even bigger, i stuck my foot in it and my ankle was easily in the pothole...great way to kick off the weekend :(

already filed a claim to the city...what are the chances of them paying for the damages?

sweet ride 05-20-2006 02:43 AM

sorry to hear that bro.....

marty18 05-20-2006 02:43 AM

OMG that's some duuurrrty damage to the rim. That sucks. I'm not sure regarding the city paying for damage sthough.

SIC1 05-20-2006 06:59 AM

City claims take long (what doesn't) but it's better then just :shurg: and taking it up the ass - metal OPC style :gay:

6-9 months from friend's experience

take pics of said pothole and close up pics car rim damage, note - time of day, weather ,speed you were travelleing and you will have ot fill out the insurance forms.

good luck.

GSurju 05-20-2006 08:55 AM

PrincessS2K 05-20-2006 09:13 AM

TwoSix 05-20-2006 10:03 AM

FuzzyLS BRO 05-20-2006 12:12 PM

i think you will be covered from the city for it, however it'll take a good while. looks like you hit that thing pretty hard!

Rrebel YO 05-20-2006 02:13 PM

Sorry to hear that man :nonono:

but, you ain't seen nothing yet.

This is what I drive:

Look what I did the other week to it...

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...bustedrim2.jpg

To start off, this was unavoidable and surely would have been a disaster.

I was backing my battery truck up onto a road, which was clear of any traffic at that particular moment. Just as I was clear of the driveway a tanker truck barreled around the corner way too fast. I had to reverse quick to get out of his way or else he would have hit me and the result was me blowing my tire out on a curb and denting the rim.

Battery truck + Tanker truck full of gas = bad day at the office :willy:

City won't pay for it unless they didn't fix it for two weeks. They have two weeks once notified of a hole to fix it.

Same ---- happened to my moms and she had to pay outta pocket.

She notified the city within the next hour of it happening. When I passed by the area in my car 3 hours later to take a pic of the hole, they were there already filling the hole and her claim was denied.

MaFiAbOy 05-20-2006 03:44 PM

---- dude that fucken sucks. Take it to Precision Rim repair. Im sure they can help u out

metal OPC 05-20-2006 04:32 PM

It obviously sucks but worse things could happen. You still have the rest of your car and your health :dunno: .

Solid GSR YO 05-20-2006 04:53 PM

ouch that sucks man at least it was just a rim and it didn't break a balljoint at that!

nbk 05-21-2006 02:29 AM

damn that sucks man. Hope you have good luck with your city claim.

Logik 05-21-2006 10:07 PM

Sorry to see Vince. It looks pretty bad. That happened to me at Markham and Lawrence. But instead of my rim, it caught my Bomex front and put a nice crack in the left side right at the fender!!! The city case is not going to be an easy win!!

Good luck

Project_VTEG 05-23-2006 03:12 AM

thanks, seems like ill be needing the luck, what should i do now though? i mean i cant just wait for them to give me a reply, especially if it turns out to be just a denial...id prefer not to drive around with two steelies in the front...oh by the way, my bumper wasnt unaffected...the bottom of the left side is scraped, and the paint on the bumper is cracking due to the impact and flexing since the bumper is made of fiber glass, as logik already knows

HyBrId 05-24-2006 07:17 PM

damn yo that sucks...
thats my biggest fear everytime i hit a pothole.
my first reaction is to turn down the windows and listen for any weird noises...
burst a tire once on a pothole but so far no rims...
hope it all works out for the better
:yeah:
