i dont even have vtec i need my accelaration
and i remember when i had 18 inch chrome wheels on my benz it did make it slower
the only thing is that most good looking rims are 17 inches
i havent seen nice 16 inches that made me go crazy yet

i am starting to consider gsr blades or mesh rims if i was going to go for the stock look
gsr blades are very nice but pricey seen it for 700 bucks for sale
i thought they would be cheaper

acceleration comes from low end torque. non vtec motors are better for that. that doesn't mean you can toss on 18s and expect it to be the same. if you don't notice a difference in acceleration and braking you obviously don't know your car well enough.

oh no im not saying that at all
i know the bigger the rim the more the weight the less the accelaration
i learned it from chrome rims from previous cars even with my old cars(bmw and benz) having a nice amount of accelaration lossed some of its power and of course my gas would get enought even more

but teg is my first japanese so there thats why im new to this because im used to euro cars

No, it's not necessarily the weight, but in most cases, that is indeed a factor. It's the larger rotational mass, meaning that because the weight of the wheel is now distributed farther away from the axis (center), it requires more force to make it rotate. So, a 17" "lightweight" wheel that ends up weighing the same as a heavy 15" oem, means that the 15" can rotate more easily. SO, a 15lb 15" rim is better for acceleration than a 17" 15lb wheel.

Put on what ever rims you want on your car and that you like, it's your car, and you are the one that has to drive it. Who cares what other people think, you like it, thats all the matters.

if you wanna get sum flashy rims and make your car attractive and give it "life"..get some deep dish rims instead of these rims..or other then that get like rota slips, subzeros or the meshies and there are lots of good rims out there..i think for 700 you can get better rims in similar/better style..deep dish will look nice..google it up and look at images that way you'll have an idea of how yoru car will look like after you have them on your car

I like those first rims you posted but I'm a reformed ricer so I guess that explains it lmao....I ride with 17s with the same colour scheme, black with a chrome lip...ride is fine but someone really knowledgeable (Spike lol) told me max you go is 2" up from stock so that would be 16s for your teg

And it's true...do what you want and don't let ppl opinions determine your style....trust me I come from experience...I slapped on a huge pink Honda banner across my rear bumper and everyone hated it but I wasn't afraid to rock it because I don't care what ppl think...if I like I do it

PS: I love the colour of your teg

Those rims are nice. If you wanna paint it, I can help you. They dont need to be sanded cuz they look pretty mint.

I just get a bunch of Q cards, stick them around the rim so no paint goes on the tire(if im keeping the tires). clean the dirt off. prime it with grey primer(2 coats) let 1st coat dry for an hour. then let the 2nd coat dry for another hour. Then paint whatever color you want. Id say do 3 coats of color. Or until your satasfied. Let each coat dry for an hour.

make sure u get rim paint and now car paint.

i just did mine. you can tell in the middle the bumps. but i didnt care. These are just beater rims. Im getting new ones. But overall, i did a good job.(i sprayed over the tires because i dont care for these)

dude you didn't even take off the tire weight. now when you get new tires they're gonna pull that wight off and see the old colour.

anyways, it's not hard to paint rims, just time consuming if you go all out. if it's a scuff and spray, you can have it done in a day.

i went all out on mine.

when i got them.

thanks man. ya the paint stripper stung a bit but i also stole some MEK (methyl ethyl ketone) from work and that ---- was eating through my gloves. it's serious ----

thank you. i just used motomaster colour match paint. total of about 40 hr's of work.

tip: pick up a wire wheel from home depot. not an actual wire one but a nylon one. the wire one wrecks the finish of the aluminum. attach to your drill or rotary tool and go to town. it's a real time saver. if i didn't have a tight deadline i would've stripped every square inch of the wheel rather than just the face.
