its coming off my friends crx
let me know if you think this will suit my car

Neon_Dave 02-08-2010 03:52 PM

They're BAAAAAAAAAAAAAD :manual:

Honestly, I think they can be pulled off, but tend to give cars a very "I think I'm a badass, look at me" kinda look. But that's just me. They're nice rims though.

8500 RPM 02-08-2010 04:06 PM

Repaint the whole rim flat black, including the rivets. The fake rivets don't look good and the two-tone glossy black with silver doesn't look that great either.

Buff4Prez Yo 02-08-2010 04:44 PM

they're ugly

I second that:giggle:

Buff4Prez Yo 02-08-2010 05:12 PM

well somebody had to say it. might as well be me.

JDM_overdose 02-08-2010 05:38 PM

Is my mom cooking rice... oh no thats just those rims

8500 RPM 02-08-2010 06:51 PM

What r u talking about guys. These rims would look hot in 1995.

D.T.P 02-08-2010 07:03 PM

I hate fake rivets, therefore I say I don't like em. Look kind of ricey, get something more basic, less flashy.

dimasbenz 02-08-2010 07:23 PM

what is a rivet??

and i think those rims look hot
i think if i get the rims only painted black it will look to dull
i need some flashy ---- rice or not .. my car is auto so why not pimp it out a bit

and those rims are tenzo r with khumo tires, dude bought them brand new for $1500

ps. i love the responses from u guys keep it coming

danny.t 02-08-2010 07:46 PM

depends on the look ur going for..im a jdm type of guy so i wouldnt get those rims, i personally dont like them they say RICE all over them, but really its up to you in the end.

dimasbenz 02-08-2010 08:04 PM

im not sure what look im going for
just wanted to pick up some flashy rims for the summer thats all

the guy said he will give it to me for $700 bucks so im thinking about it

danny.t 02-08-2010 10:27 PM

ya if you like flashy these are it, just not my taste, personally i like bbs rims ( mesh style) and rota slip streams / spoon rims.

dimasbenz 02-09-2010 02:07 AM

well im not getting these rims to race with
my ---- is auto so im just trying to make it look proper for the summer
i dont want to get anything plain .. whats the point.. it will be just another teg

whatever i got a week to think about it so imma think about it

Buff4Prez Yo 02-09-2010 03:36 AM

ugly rims are not "proper"

let it be just another teg. trying to make it stand out can go 2 ways:

it's either gonna look ugly or you'll attract heat from thieves. if you get those rims, thieves will be all over it, saying "dayum dem rims is ugly. how stupid would i look if i got caught stealing those?"

D.T.P 02-09-2010 04:13 AM

As Danny.t said up there, spoon/slips/bbs rs are the way to go. Now the whole thing being jdm...blah Japan has rice too.
How about some gramlights? I believe there was a set floating around in fs section.

And by plain what I ment was not flashy to catch your eye from miles away but clean aftermaket rims that look simple and give the car a nice flow.

dimasbenz 02-09-2010 05:51 AM

i seen ppl steal ---- boxes so you cant really prevent car theft
making it more flashy will attrack it more i agree
and if they think its ugly i couldnt care less.. as long as i like it

i think these rims will look nice on my car

i checked kijiji rim section and there is nothing speciak i seen that caught my eye

D.T.P 02-09-2010 06:41 AM

how about
https://www.torontointegras.ca/forum...6-bridgestone/

Vida 02-09-2010 07:03 AM

Man, get some flat black rims. And try and find something else. Your car is doing the stealth look with the tailslights and stuff, so try and match it with something more simple

8500 RPM 02-09-2010 10:04 AM

I like all OEM Integra 15" rims, except for the snowflakes as they look like cheap wheel covers. The Meshies and Hammerheads are my favourite. The blades are good but look dated. Heck even these would look good on Integras: Honda Civic SI Rims 4x100 (Fat Fives) with 80% Bridgestone G019 - Toronto Tires, Rims For Sale - Kijiji Toronto

I say stick with OEM or get a set of flat black rims. Flat black, dull looking rims on a dark car with tints is what looks badass. Two-tone glossy black with fake rivets (the small bolts) looks 1995 and belong on suped-up Toyota Tercels.

dimasbenz 02-09-2010 11:43 AM

ya i hate rivets too .. but going with the stealth look (Getting plain black rims) is boring

i wanted to bring some life to the teg.. oem is too small and i dont race, so i want 17 inches.. i dont want to be just another integra.. i want to stand out..

i was thinking about gun metal or black before.. but not alot of rims out there right now that u can pick up

i just like those rims cause they a;ready come with khumos tires and they rims are like brand new.. so if i get them less than half price i thought its a good deal

JDM_overdose 02-09-2010 02:38 PM

why the ---- would he want to get flat black rims. and dont even say rota slipstreams are flat black, they have a gloss on them

Buff4Prez Yo 02-09-2010 02:45 PM

why would you ask us if you were dead set on getting these anyways?

danny.t 02-09-2010 03:24 PM

Pretty much what we're all saying is that, we dont like the rims, but thats our style...get wat u prefer. if you like them just get them it seems you really want them anyways

8500 RPM 02-09-2010 03:47 PM

These are some pics of Tenzo R rims in the same colour scheme. They do look badass yo! The crew from pimp my ride will love them!

dimasbenz 02-10-2010 06:51 AM

i do like the rims but im still weighing out my options
i did check rims on kijiji
alot of ppl selling rims with bs tires.. i dont want to buy new rubber
and the rims that i want come with khumo tires already brand new

rota's are pretty okay.. i am still thinking.. i think imma go buy something on sunday

http://img1.classistatic.com/cps/kj/...096kn9_19.jpeg

http://img1.classistatic.com/cps/kj/...611jbh_19.jpeg

these are my other options.. tell me which ones you guys think will suit my car the best

Vida 02-10-2010 07:00 AM

Get the slips or meshies. Slips in 16's, meshies in the size they come in, I think they come in 15''

dimasbenz 02-10-2010 07:07 AM

ya i always like the mesh ones but 15 inches sounds weak
i gotta go with at least 17 inches

Vida 02-10-2010 07:17 AM

Meshies dont come in other sizes. Remember theyre OEM wheels on the LS.

IMO, No integra should have rims over 17. It just looks like a tank to me unless you lower it nicely. Stick to 15 or 16, with a nice tire size and keep the rims black or gun metal. your car is stealth man, you dont want 17's to lose that. After the rims lower the car man. The car will look NOICE

I'm kind of at a cross roads too on size. Im stuck between 15's and 16s. One size is for a different rim so its why im stuck :(

danny.t 02-10-2010 08:02 AM

i've had 17s on my car and ill never have 17s again, 16 is like the max for a good ride..if u get 17s ur car is gonna bounce like mad trust me..im stickin to 15 winters and 16 summer blades

8500 RPM 02-10-2010 09:24 AM

^^^ not to mention you'll have to be running super thin tires to maintain the ratio, which means that you can hit a big pothole and you may burst your tire, develop a bubble, or bend the rim!

JDM_overdose 02-10-2010 10:01 AM

rota slips are the fake rays

dimasbenz 02-10-2010 11:49 AM

ya potholes are a bitch
my brother has the nicest rims and he cracked one over a pothole

so u guys recommend for me not to go with 17's cause my previous teg had 17s i had it for a week but the ride was okay nothing that bad

JDM_overdose 02-10-2010 12:05 PM

17s arnt good for our cars.

i used to have these in 13inch. most jdm u can ever get

No, they are copies of Spoon SW388.

dimasbenz 02-10-2010 12:29 PM

ya im doing research and most people are saying 16 inches is the best for the teg
now i see what u guys are saying.. imma do more research see what else i find out

-4u2nvaz- 02-10-2010 12:30 PM

5/10

well my bro is a serious racer honda expert
and he told me usually people go with small rim sizes for racing
and higher rim sizes for show

Larger wheels mean more rotational mass (not necessarily weight, but moment of inertia). This means that because you are running a larger wheel, it will require more energy/force to make it rotate. Therefore, the larger the wheel/tire combo, the slower your acceleration. This is why people who "race" like lighter wheels that aren't too much larger than OEM. There is however a correlation with wider wheels resulting in better lateral handling, but with regard to acceleration...you will suffer with a larger wheel/tire combo!
