Default this could have been a much bigger problem

so the story goes a little like this.

at the end of last year i noticed the CV boot on my driver side was gone. I figured, bah, i'm not driving the car for awhile, F' it, i'll fix it in the spring.
I put the car away.
totally forgot about my little problem.

With new parts arriving daily i figured i better get started on repairs/tuneup. While taking the tire off the other day i noticed the slightest of cracks.

barely noticable to the average person

Concerned knowing the amount of fluid build up around the inside of the rim, i was anixous to see what await on the other side of rim

Didn't think i'd find THIS!

OMG!!!!!

gives me chills to think what might have happened if this sucker blewout at high speed! (i took the car out the previous week up the lakeshore and back home)
anyways, tire replaced, CV boot on order and tuneup 1/2 done

****note to all, check your tires regularly!*******

WTF, that ***** scary as hell.

Nuubz check your abs speed sensors as well. Mine were coated in the cv boot grease since mine broke last summer as well.

Dude, I had the EXACT same thing happen to mine. I had those same cracks on the inside of one of my tires. And yes I have the same Hercules tires as you. Its too bad only one of them cracked or else I would have replaced all 4. Cant wait to see your car back out and about this season.
