unfortunatly no pics of the metal work
they close at 6 and I usually get there by 5:40 so they're packing the cars away for the day, by then.
I wish I had a day off where I could go during the day and see them welding and ----. I mean I've seen them doing it, just not on my car
sucks I want my car back and I have to wait another week

I think they just did the lip. I can't tell without getting my head in the wheel well. When I got there, they had finished with putting the fiberglass over the welded area and was starting to cover the fiberglass with the "rage" (I believe it's called, Jeff would know) bodyfiller.
Surprisingly the worst spot on my car was here
:dunno:

Last Update before the final assembly
The Body's painted, along with the other small pieces. They forgot to paint the stock side skirt on the driverside because it was going to be hidden under the wings west sideskirt, so he figured that it wouldn't matter. Just some miscommunication within the company, so that's going to be finished tomorrow before pick up.
For the quarter panel mouldings, they lifted up the moulding and stuck a straw underneath to hold it up, so I have no hard paint lines. Same goes for the front windsheild. The roof mouldings were taken off completely and the doors have no weather stripping on it at all. The taillights were taken out and have been replaced already in the pics. The mirrors, bumpers, and wings west sideskirts were all painted seperate from the car.
So far I haven't seen any over spray, but I'll check that in detail when I pick it up tomorrow. Quarters look decent, but I couldn't get down since it was wet outside so those as well will be inspected once I pick up the car.
Anyways on to the pics, if you have any questions just post, no secrets here it's all a learning experience.
Sorry to all those with slower internet and computers
Oh and the doors are slightly off by a hair in the pics, but during our conversation they tend to sag after a couple of weeks with the opening and closing. So he said if they don't and just so happen to stay exactly where they are, they'll adjust them again, so no worries there.

Quick update before I leave for work
pros
-overall paint is great
cons
-front lip needs to be tightened up
-the hatch is slightly off, not in colour but in height. Slightly.
-the panel above the bumper on the driver side sticks out too far
These are all things that the bodyshop already knows since I pointed it out to them. We decided it would be best to fix it once the car goes back for wetsanding and polishing after the paint has fully cured (2 weeks).

Are you gonna hook them up? You'll have to swap the base or you field of view will be limited. I wired mine myself , and it a discounted price $.850 for the hard parkers to push the button
