What speakers do you trust?
What brand speakers do you wish to have and what speakers do you currently have? Front and Rear?
for me is all stock at the moment! :s
what is better?
3 way, 4 way or 2 way?
Do all tegs have the same size for speakers? 6.5" round?

Even the Infinity reference series are good for the money... I always use them and haven't had any problems.
As long as you stick with a name brand, the speaker will be decent... it's really about music and listening preference because different brands have different characteristics. Try to stay away from entry level stuff like Sony Xplod, Pioneer, JVC, and even low end Kenwood.
For 94-01 Integras, the hatchbacks have 6.5"s all around, but the sedans have 6"x9"s in the rear.
If you're gonna change speakers and aren't too into stereo, go with a 3-way in the front and a 2-way in the rear... if you want to spend a little more money and want a cleaner sound, go for a component set which will give you a 6.5" mid-bass woofer, a tweeter, and a crossover.
Do some research on the net... websites like crutchfield.com will go you alot of basic information. Next, go into an audio shop and test out some brands to see the difference. I recommend going to a few different shops though since shops will tend to push certain brands they carry and will be more biased towards what they make the most money on.
Good luck!

i got infinity reference all around... i think they are pretty good and clean. Go with Kappas if you intend to pound it hard with a nice sub. They have more treble while keeping the sound clean at high volumes. Oh, i remember Wayne's kappa setup....

From working at futureshop for a while i learned that like said infinitiy speakers are really a great speaker for the money. If i were you try to find a hookup at futureshop or best buy because markup on theese is almost 100%. I personally have audiobahn all the way around they are actually pretty good although i need an amp to power them.
And if you want something out of this world and have some cash. Go for Mb quart.

Well I wouldn't say 100% markup... the employee price is "cost" + 10% which, on speakers, usually works out to be about 40% discount from the retail price. There are also special deals available directly through the manufacturer where they offer 50% off jobber pricing which means you'll be at about a 70-75% discount off retail.
It's great to have a friend at BB or FS when buying car audio... mark-up's are insane!

you'll need to build baffles (boards) out of a couple pieces of mdf to mount then securely to the sidepanel and then the grille itself isn't big enough to let all the air the 6x9" is capable of displacing through it's more trouble than it's worth to do it right.
just get a subwoofer instead.

i have infinity components in the front, they're two way. You cant go wrong with a nice component set that is amplified, doesnt matter too much if they're 2way or 3way, they should still sound sweet.
MB Quart, Boston Acoustics, and a few other highend brands are good too, but really expensive.
i have blaupunkt 3way 6x9's in the back, and surprizingly, they sound really good.

i cut holes in the door and flush mounted the tweeter, i think some teg models come with tweeters, in which case, you could replace the factory tweeter.

I noticed there was no mention of JBL equipment or even Bose. When I was at Bestbuy out of all there 6.5" speakers the JBL's had the cleanest sound with the most bass. This was in comparison the the usual Kenwood, Pioneer, JVC ect that were on display.
Anyone use JBL audio?
I have the stock JBL sound system in my G/F Toyota Highlander Limited and the sound is unbeleivable clean and pretty loud. Her father acutally prefered it to Bose>

i had infinity ref 6.5" components in the front, 3-way 6x9's in the rear (g3 sedan)
all running off rockford fosgate 4 channel amp, 100w x 4rms
sounded crystal clear
i've since sold the components, and have the amp/6x9's for sale..
i don't need it so loud anymore, gonna hookup some lower end speakers without an amp direct to deck once car is back on the road.. i mean for a year i've been listening to stock '00 cavalier sound system, so anything is a cut above that
lol.. and can mike get me a discount too?
