water leakage in DC teg
hey guys im new on here and just wondered about this thing i have
i have a 96 teg... it seems as tho water is leaking somewhere cuz the carpet on the driver side is all wet...
is this a common problem?
i think i might have to remove the entire dash just to find where this leak is comming from. It'll be hard to find because its not a full leak... looks like it drips or something. When it rained i tried looking at the place but i didnt see any water dripping..
any ideas?

It's a common problem with the 92/95 Civics. Check this link:

It may or not be the same with the Integras, but it's worth a look. I have to do this on my Civic because the floor has been flooded since last winter. If I get a chance to this weekend, I'll post up some pics and maybe a how-to.

Ok, I just finished *hopefully* fixing this problem in my Civic.
Here's the driver's front with the fender off:
Here's a shot of the inner fender inside that elongated hole - note the rust along the seam:
The upper fender just underneath the windshield, near the A-pillar - look for the crack that's in that darker spot (kind of hard to see):
I used this tube of silicone that I used previously on the roof drain rails to stop the leaking in the trunk of my Civic - yeah, the car has its problems with leaks :
I basically just put gobs of the silicone on the cracks:
As well as on the inner fender inside that hole:
Hopefully this helps solves the problem. I swear, the puddle of water in the car was HUGE. The carpet and floor mats are still soaked and I doubt they'll dry off since it's not hot any more.
Hope this helps.
