When you remove and paint your valve cover, is there a gasket that you have to replace?

 

recommended but not required unless there's damage to it

 

Yeah recommended...i replaced mine the first time i took it off over a year ago and 2 times after used the same one and its still like the day i bought it.

I would say if its not leaking before you take it apart, it will be fine for reuse.

I was quoted $38.00 for a B18c gasket, is that reasonable?

 

yeah i think i paid somewhere around there from Acura a while ago. Reasonable for OEM

 

i think it also comes with the 4 spark plug gaskets
