Default transmission problem maybe?

*Bare with me guys this is alittle hard to explain

I was accelerating up my street normally shifting from 1st ... 2nd... as soon as I shift to 3rd gear I felt the car losing power. It felt like the car was getting pulled back, so I stepped on the gas more after acouple seconds it started accelerating normal but then lost power again, I was able to speed up and shift to 4th. It went away at fourth. When I say losing power, I mean it feels like the car is being pulled back. I hear no grinds, clutch feels fine, rpm does drop. Mine you I am low on gas, but I haven't seen the fuel gauge light come on. Could it be a clogged fuel filter?

This doesn't seem like a tranny problem. When was the recent tune done on it. Losing power usually means something with the motor. Clog fuel fliter maybe, air flow problems, spark plugs in good shape, spark plug wires not ripped anywhere. Do the basic checks anything visable under the hood.

i changed the spark plugs couple of weeks after I got the car which was in early march. I didn't change the wires, I'll check them tomorrow. I didn't see anything under the hood, but I'll check again.

*btw theres a hi6 ignition system installed by the previous owner that I don't know much about.

Thanks guys, I found out it was the wires. I replaced the cap, rotor, and wires because I thought it was a good idea. Problem gone.
