Tranny Help
i got a Ys1 tranny outta of 93 GSr b17a integra , my question is so is it a GSR tranny or its just an Ls Ys1 tranny ? some people were mentioning that some Gsr's came with a Ys1 Ls tranny , is this true ? and it its on a GSR all original then is it actual Ys1 GsR tranny?
There's plenty to do outside my room but I choose not to!

no 92-93 GSR's came with ls geared trannys.
you have a YS1 GSR tranny.
Transmission Ratio (:1)
1st 3.307
2nd 2.105
3rd 1.458
4th 1.107
5th 0.875
Reverse 3.000
Final Drive 4.400
does yours have LSD? just curious. mine doesn't

^ If its USDM then its a first gen gizzer tranny. Same transmission housing but with closer gear ratios. But if its JDM then its an XSi tranny with LSD.
someone correct me if im wrong.
p.s. that first gear ratio is rediculously short compared to all the SIR and type r trannies in the later years.

the people are telling you that the LS ones have the YS1 marking on the tranny. Those are the long geared ones. if its off a b17 gsr it should be the short geared one. You will tell the difference when you shift.
YS1 comes in 3 forms, USDM b18a1 tranny, USDM B17a1, JDM b16a w/ LSD (XSi)...
what i dont understand is what the OP is really asking... you said it came out of a 93 gsr... so obviously its a gsr tranny... when u drive u can look at the rev to speed and tell.

if you're doing 80km/h at 3000rpm in 4th, you've got a long geared tranny. it's the only way i can explain it to you.
