i have a jdm 97 b18c5, i was wondering if i put on a set of skunk2 pro3 cam shaft and skunk2 cam gear on my motor will it blow. everything stock hte only upgrades i have is mugen headers, full skunk2 catback, short ram intake, and skunt2 pro intake maniflod. just wanted to kno if i install the cams will it blown my engine or even be worth it.

 

To properly benefit from those cams you'll need to use higher compression pistons, better rods, have the entire rotating assembly balanced so it can rev higher, you'll also need to upgrade the valve springs/retainers and wouldn't hurt to p&p the head as well...

And most inportantly, get it tuned properly.

Pro 3 cams are huge. Unless you are building an NA all-motor drag engine, I wouldn't recommend using such big cams. It won't be very streetable at all.
