hmm. maybe be a little more clear with your explanation of what is happening.
what i can gather from what your saying it sounds like either the master or slave cylinder. I'd check those first anyways cause they are fairly cheap to replace.
I did mine a while back and it cost less than thirty bucks for the slave cylinder replacement

Does the clutch pedal feel lighter when it is acting up like that? Also to check if your clutch is any good, get up to 40-50km/h and put it in 4th or 5th gear and floor it. If rpms go up but car does not accelerate then you need a new clutch, but I highly doubt its the clutch. If the clutch pedal seems ok and feels like it has pressure, then most likely you have an issue with the pressure plate.
Bring it to a shop and let them check it out. Then if its a small repair, diy lol.

Check you clutch master to see how much fluid is in there.

Your clutch isn't being fully disengaged.

Either your pressure plate is damaged (broken forks/return springs) or your low on clutch fluid.

If your low on fluid, then you have a leak somewhere in the system. Inspect your clutch master cylinder. Look underneath the clutch pedal for brake fluid, and under the cylinder in the engine bay on the firewall.

If no leak is located at either of those locations, then inspect the clutch slave cylinder (located on the front of the transmission bell housing). It's covered by a rubber dust boot.

If STILL no leak is found, then inspect all lines running between both components.

I am also sometimes experiencing a similar issue.

Occasionally when I drive, it feels as if when downshifting from third to second, the stick is hitting something, or being blocked before going into second. When shifting from first to second, sometimes I will REALLY have to push the shifter, in which case I generally just go from first to third. When it rains however, the shifting seems much smoother, and rarely do I experience this issue at all. An aquantaince suggested to remove the shift boot and adhere some lubricant into where the shifter is having the issues. I will be going to my mechanic over the next couple of weeks. This issue only occurs maybe 5% of the time while driving.

Please update with any information discovered.

Thanks,
Mixed1

In this case, your synchro's are most likely worn out. Poor driving habits.

Wouldn't hurt to check your shifter linkage, though.

Just bought the car a month ago, don't get it twisted, lol.

But yes, I will definitely have this looked at.

Thanks.

To the original poster, I had very similar issues when my clutch master went. Check underneath the firewall of stains around where the pedal attaches to the master.
