Default removing valve cover

hello TI..,

I saw a few articles on Painting valve covers, i wanted to give it a try cause mine is starting to peel a bit paint wise. but none of them have any instructions on how to remove the cover. i've also read some things about having to replace the gasket when its removed.. do i have to replace anything if i take my valve cover off my car? thanks

You should replace the valve cover gasket as well as the plug seals, which comes with the valve cover gasket. It's not really hard to remove, you just take off the spark plug wires, and then just unbolt all the nuts, and that's it.
