New Integra Owner, advise appreciated
Ok, so I've got a 1995 ls, really good shape save for a few minor issues. I've got a paint friend who is going to clean up the small rust spots (rear quarter panels). These are the projects that I am going to be working on:
- Aftermarket Antenna was broken by my friend, need OEM one
- I need a new hood, red or black (can't afford CF)
- Would like to put a new exhaust, something simple that will hopefully improve performance and look nicer than the ugly pipe i have now.
- My speedometer will sometimes jump around randomly, drop down the zero, back up to speed, then to zero, then it will be fine.
There is a bunch of stuff that I know how to do that I'll be doing, these are just the few things that I would like some feedback on, thanks.

The sensor responsible for the reading on your speedometer is attached to the top of the transmission housing, somewhat to the back. Its above your passenger side driveaxle (directly above the differential). Its vertical. Unplug it, clean it out, and replug. If that doesn't solve your issue, then you need to decide if either the harness is damaged, or the actual sensor.

what i want is a very functional car with a little bit of power. I am going to focus on making everything work and look as good (stock) as possible on the car first, then try and get a little more power out of it.

When you decide your ready for some fun, save some money for an engine swap. You won't regret upgrading to a GSR or Type R. Not only are they powerful stock, but they also make an excellent base for future mods.

If thats the case, then spend your money on treating the car's rust, and rust prevention. Get some good tires, and a nice set of rims (keep it in the 15"-16" range), and decide what you want done with the body. It's common for people to convert thier fronts to 98+. If you want your car fully functional, and not have to worry about increased wear or scraping, lower the car about 2" for style.

They also tend to be much more expensive then simple lowering springs.
Springs tend to cost between $200 and $400, meanwhile a full set of good quality coilovers will range from $800 to $2000.
Bear in mind that if you do buy lowering springs, anything lower then an inch, or with too high of a rebound rate, you should upgrade your shock absorbers as well, or they won't provide sufficient dampening and blow out in due time.
To top it off, if you plan to lower the vehicle more then 2" (just a guideline; not set in stone), then you will need a camber kit (at least for the front) or your traction will be severely affected, and induce terrible camber wear.

I don't plan to lower it more than 2", probably about that, and my suspension is getting old i would like to buy a set of coilovers, just don't have the flow right now to do it.
I do have a long time family friend who is a professional body guy but does his own stuff at home, he will be doing the rust care etc. on my car (rear quarter panels, few random spots)
I don't care to convert my car to the 98+, wouldn't mind putting a lip on though.
The car came with Nokya halogen headlights, any experience with these? I'd like to put HIDs.
