hang on guys there are a few things that could be wrong here lol, not only the pump but all the steering components that are ascociated with that movement

Check ur Power steering fluid level 1st, top it off.. The loud squeek should stop. I do it all the time... Also check ur power steering line for leaks, see if anything's wet over there.. If it is, my advice to you is finish up the winter season by addin more fluid if needed then yank out the whole PS system and AC while you're at it.. Work out your arms a little this summer and gain that 2+ extra HP

for something thing to have to make a screeching noise, it would have to be moving fast, this is why i suggested the pump because there is no where else in the system that has parts that moves fast enough to screech.

My fault, i overlooked checking the fluid. I naturally assumed it the first thing anyone would check if something was wrong with the power-steering system.

FYI to the OP. the PS steering pulley bolt is notorious for snapping out of random, just something to check
