Default Motor Rebuilt

Im currently pending on purchasing a b17a1 motor. However i was told the motor has no compression(the owner believes its the exhaust valves). If i wanted to rebuild this motor what steps/procedures would have to be taken and how much do you think it'll run me to get it going again? Also is there any garage/shops you would refer me to go check for this problem?

you would have to do a leak down test to be sure, but if its just one or two valves in one cyclinder you may just be able to buy them. B18b is 650$ so make sure you dont spend over that for the job or you may just want to get that motor. Valves and labour and head gasket ---- adds up quick.

I hope you're not paying more than 100 bucks for the motor if it has no compression.

You won't find out what exactly is wrong with it till you pull off the head. Expect to spend an easy 500+ to rebuild it.

Even if its just the valves, with a motor that old you might as well hone the block, replace the pistons, rings, bearings and hardware.

Honestly thanks for the help, i was just about to spend some unneccessary cash..............by the way i just put my car on the handicap list by running over a huge speed bump that wasnt seen from a distance. the cars steering wheel now vibrates more than usual, the alignment is off and the car has a constant ticking sound. I know it could be many things but by any chance is there any one who may know the problem? All help will be appreciated, thanks.
