Default Locks not working- integra 3g

Hi,

I have an aftermarket car starter/alarm kit (the car came with it). 97 INTEGRA Aniv. Edition

Here is the problem:
1. Driver side locks with the key, passenger side doesn't lock at all
2. When using the key (driver side), i have to turn it the opposite way first and then into locking position to lock it.
3. Trying to lock from inside is impossible as lock doesnt budge
4. When I press the lock button on the remote, nothing locks
5. When I press the unlock button on the remote, it does unlock

Anyone else experience the same and can give me a clear direction as to what to invest in?

Thanks.

1. may be the acuator
2. IDK
3. to lock from the inside (if door is ajar hold outside latch up) and lock will move - safety mechanism so you don't lock your keys in the car
4. IDK
6. IDK

i have pretty much the same issue (for the last two years). i've always gone inside the car and kept pushing the lock until it went. sic1, your advice for number 3 is a HUGE help...haha. i'm too cheap to fix it.

why don't you just pop your door panel off and see if anything looks wonky and it all linkages and everything is still attached properly. Also do you have a multimeter to test some of the electrical components?

haha. that's exactly what i was thinking. f*ck the rest if # 3 works. i've had the door off twice and lubed the linkages etc. this worked for a week or so at the most. i'll check the electrical stuff out although i don't have a multimeter. i'm sure my buddy has one. that seems more likely the issue.
cheers,
