Default Hrm... Truck Acting Funny....

Just started to happen...

My 4runner is having problems...

here are the symptoms i've diagnosed so far
1. When accellerating.. the car hesitates until about 2k RPM and then it's normal
2. On the highway about 100 kmph.. when i try to hit the gas.. the car hesitates and will not go any faster.. the car shakes as it tries to accellerate.. tested it with cruise and with over drive off... regardless.. the car shakes and hesitates when trying to push down on the throttle
3. The exhaust is making a putaputaputa sound like it's getting blocked or restricted... but then it's fine.. this is under acceleration...

it's not the tires or the rain or the transfercase or the tranny because it happens in RWD mode and AWD mode...

any suggestions would help me out.. taking it to the mechanics tomorrow.. not too safe to drive it on the highway...

i think it's either
a) misfiring/timing belt
b) needs a tune up
c) bad spark plug
d) bad air filter
e) blocked fuel injector
f) exhaust leak

anything would help! thanx!

Default fuel injectors

give it a tune up

and give it a good fuel injector cleaner that should do it.

sounds like you have a backup of deposits in your injectors

had that problem before

it has been fixed! sparkplug #3 was the culprit!

that and an exhaust leak.. fixed!
