help with power steering belt

whats going on guys. i just picked up a 90 RS off of another member on TI and i need some help. Calling out Fuzzy, Trenell, and all the installation guru's. i need to put on the power steering belt on the car. when i bought it the previous owner took it off and got a new one but did not put it back on. If any of you guys can save me the time and money of going to a mechanic to get it done and put it on for me, it would be really appreciated. once again thanks alot guys

was this the one for 1250? if it is he has a p/s line leak thats why the belt is off

hey man i am in markham. i heard that the belt takes only 5 mins to put on if done right. let me knoe if i can meet you somewhere or if you close to me. thanks

on the power steering pump, there is a wing nut, take the wing nuff off then the power steering pump should drop..once its dropped u can removed the belt and put on the new one.

You have to move the ac belt first.

2 12 mil bolts you need to loosen on the exhaust manifold side of the pump, and then loosen the wing nut. you'll either have a wingnut or a long 10 mil bolt.put the new belt on and tighten the wingnut(or 10 mil bolt) untill there is tension on the belt. tighten the 2 12 mil bolts on the side of the pump
if you have ac you need to remove the ac belt first by loosening the ac tensioner
if this takes you any more than 10-15 mins to do go put on a apron and start baking cookies
