Default Help please

i finished the swap on my DA and but another b20b in car starts and runs allryte but it drives like garbage accelerates like garbage bogs like crazy at times

after trying and fiddling with everything ive come to the conclusion that i cant use this new intake mani that came with the motor

all the vacuum lines are hooked up ryte i followed a diagram and its good...the one thing i noticed is that the new intake mani does not say proggramed fuel injection bla bla bla

i need to know how these intake mani work r there different kinds of manis like fuel injection and non fuel injection can all b series manis work with all b series cars and motors

this is a bitch and a half i am sooooooo pissed i know im gonna have to put my old intake mani back on to get this car working right...i put my old throttle body on the new intake mani but it still doesnt work...i think these intak mani have to be car specific and they have car specific iacs on them the new iac on the new mani plugged into my harness but its different from my old iac

please someone help or just let me know if u have to use the specific 90 integra intake mani in an integra i have no clue what the new intake mani came off of

o bought the motor with the short intake mani from jdmengineland so i dunno what kinda short manis the sell with those motors

i am pisssssed i shouldve just saved some cash and used my old intake mani the new one looked so much better but it came with soo much problems

im prolly gonna go to my mechani tommoro and drive the car like shyt the whole way there then i know hes gonna tell me the intake mani isnt compatible and im gonna have to pay him large to swap the old one back on as much as i wanna swap the old one back on myself im sick and tired of working on this car it took me like 20 hours or more for this swap and there isnt much space to swap the intake manis its gonna be such a pain

fuckkking bullshyyt

It is not the intake mani. You can use any intake manifold on any engine as long as its B series and not a gsr (different flange).

What computer are you using? What distributor did you use?

If there was an issue with intake manifold, there would be an idle issue, and I mean a steady 3000rpm idle or completely dying out. So as long as everything hooks up and the iac valve bolts up, it should be all good.

using the 90-91 ls ecu will not run properly. From what i heard, people use the 92-93 ecu and it does ok, but still does not reach its full potential. get a jumper harness, obd1 ecu, go down to HiVelocity and have Andrew upload b20 software.

this sounds interesting and quite expensive lol

i am using my 90 ls dizzy and the ecu i have now is original...i had a b20b in my car b4 and it ran fine, smooth

i didnt use my original iac...the iac that came on the new mani plugged into my harness so i just left it...also it doesnt look like my original iac bolts up to the new mani...i can prolly get one bolt in but not both

i think im gonna try hooking up my 90 ls iac even if its by one bolt and see what it does

im interested in getting a new ecu and having it programmed for a b20 but i gotta get the car running smooth to drive over there lol

the way the car is acting now driving it around cant be good for the new motor and all the compenents under my hood...its ridiculous

if my original iac doesnt fit on the new intake mani does that mean i have to use my old intake mani

i look up these new performance manis like the skunk 2 they dont have iacs on them i dont believe when someone buy this kind of mani r they supposed to fit or customize their original iac to fit? cars r hectic

^calm down dude...lol. It's not the intake mani or the iacv.

Check all connections on the engine like the fuel lines etc... make sure everything is connected properly. Could be something stupid like a loose wire/connector.

Go to Hivelocity tuning and at least have them look at it. No doubt, Andrew will be able to tell you exactly what's wrong as soon as he sees it.

To me, it sounds like it's not tuned properly.

wen i get home after work im gonna check yet again i think i saw some fuel slowly leaking from the fuel pressure regulator hose...maybe the hose or clamp isnt tite enuff

how much does it cost on average to have a car tuned? ive nevr done it before in my life or had it done

^contact Andrew at hivelocity tuning (can google his shop). Talk to him and tell him what's going on with the car.

Definitely check those fuel lines. If it's not getting enough fuel, it's gonna run like garbage. lol. Do you smell fuel when it's running?

and my rad fan never shuts off im thinking i was supposed to switch over the rad fan switch too

so everybody let me be the first to say im the biggest idiot in the world....

after trying everything over and over and this and that i went under the car today to check for any loose connections...i then noticed that the iac plug is the same as the thermostat plug....

i switched the 2 plugs and voila... i had the thermo plug on the iac and the iac plug on the thermo b4

good lord i feel like a dumbass

anyone who does a swap in the future it cant be said enuff label everything everythiiing
