well sometime it started right from morning, but usally after driving for about 10 to 20mins, and it doesnt do it all the time, and no I didnt clean the IACV, should I try that

Yes that is one thing you can try. You can use some throttle body cleaner to clean it out. Just watch when you take it out because some coolant may come out and make a mess. While your add it, you might as well clean the throttle body.
These need to come off before you remove it. Just dont loose the rubber gasket that comes with it when you take it off.
and then clean the 2 holes. They'll be really dirty, so clean it until no more dirty fluid comes out. Then let it dry out for like 15- 20 mins in the sun or something.
Good luck ! Let us know if it worked

I did clean the throttle body, and now that I think about it I did clean the IAVC, there is a small screen on it correct,,, and I changed the hosing cause I had a small coolant leak. So Im stumped haha you dont think the 02 sensor would have anything to do with it, reason I ask is because when I put my header in the piping came loose from my cat and dropped and ripped the wiring, I did fix it and it seemed to drive fine after that,,, it been about 3 months since the 02 was repaid
thanks for the reply and so quik

no check engine light, almost wish it did go on then I could look up the code,,, the one ground wire ripped in half and the rest came loose from the clip, it took awhile to find where eash wire went but I found it the diagram and put everthing back. Once repaired it ran great till now, its been 3 month so I guess the heat could of messed up the one ground that was fixed, I`ll check it out tomorrow and let you know what I see

Thanks for all your help guys, I m glad to say the teg is back to normal, I started out with changing a few sensors, cleaned the throttle body, double checked all the wiring, and it was still happeneing. So I switched gas stations, and ever since I did that, it runs great, revs a bit high in the morning like most cars do, almost hits 2000 but only for 5 about seconds then sits at 800 like it should.
Once agian thanks for the help and tips, cant wait to show you guys the teg after it gos under the knife, think I`m starting this Oct, back to the ford explorer I go for the winter.
thanks agian
cheers

Petro, I think the 91 is always a bit older, not sure if that has anything to do with it or not, my family gets regular gas from there all the time, and it seems to be fine. I just switched over to Shell
