Well I don't think the V6 necessarily needs turbo, its decent fast as is, plus that would raise the sticker price by a lot. (They would need to re-design the engine, tranny, clutch and brakes etc to cope with the added power)

As far as the 4-cylinder turbo, I have heard its a bit of a failure, kinda slow and inconsistent power delivery.

most of their models look very nice, and if i were in a position to get one on a lease, i probably would. i wouldn't "own" one. imo, if it's not from japan or europe, i don't want it.

^Whut-everrrrrrrr! lol jk.

All I know is Kia and Hyundai are now starting to make cars that rival civic and corolla in quality, style and equipment at a better price. That is a fact. The general public is starting to catch on to this and loose their old school biased opinions carried by the names.

We just sold my wife's old 02 kia spectra and I couldn't be happier. It was a massive pos and felt scary to drive. I can honestly say that the new kia's are a billion percent better made and designed than the 9 year old kia we owned. Completely different in everyway.

No one is disputing their cars aren't good, and a heck of a lot better than 10 years ago, but that in itself is not enough. It takes years (if not decades) of producing quality affordable vehicle's to build up a reputation and a loyal customer base..

and soon enough my young little boy, kia/hyundia will be making better cars for decades to come. And come to think of it EVERY CAR manufacturer has some sort of "issues" with their line up.

Remember when everyone was talking smack about honda/toyota when they first emerged into the car scene? Kia and Hyundia are hearing the same buzz right now. Its their time to prove people wrong now..... and they are doing it sooner than expected.

i don't think MOST of us do. if kia is so great, why didn't you buy one? why did you still go with a gstring? if you're going to say price, don't think thats whats holding you back. cause you can get credit from almost anywhere now.

I can't afford a new car....yet. Nor would I want to own ANY newer car. But with all car dealer smelly like ----, kia and hyundia are the ones coming out smelly like freah daisys.

My 4 door, luxury sedan was $2300. Far cry from 20G's on a new car.

Next time when u post in reply of my post... Make it relevent to my post LOL.

Aside from that, the forte is a VERY good looking car. I actually prefer the looks of the 4 door over the 2 door.

I prefer the two door awesome looking car. I just fixed my stupid negative camber I couldn't agree more with MPR with the whole "mad tight Jdm" camber

Agreed, it's much. Not to mention terrible for your handling and also kills your tires faster than you can pay for them.

Either way, pretty sweet looking forte

Default Kdmmm

All the points are pretty legit for the most part. As a salesperson for Honda right now, I have had the opportunity to sell other vehicles from diff. manufacturers due to my Dealer Principal owning 15 dealerships. One of them is Kia. I sold 2 Fortes. They are cool, quick, loaded with options that some civics dont have even at their top end models, and cheap. But, either way, they will never hold the residual value of a Honda. Impossible. Honda holds its value 12% over any import vehicle after 5 years. Again, not knocking anyones opinions, but these are facts. I think its a cool car, and the Genesis looks tight too, but just on the badge alone you wouldnt even catch me carpooling lol. And Paul, that Kia does look hype, but we all know they took Civic body lines and cleaned it up before Honda had a chance to do it. The new 2012 Civic drops in about 2 weeks at our dealerships and they have bluetooth standard and traction control etc standard..so they are coming to terms with whats happening, and they have enough of a lead that KDM wont catch up anytime soon. Also, lol, this is BIAS. Hahahaa..

Very strong points it's true about the value they won't keep it as much as a Honda ATM but I think with time that will change. The 2012 civic has to fight back against what the forte offers just makes sense cuz really the forte is just like a civic and a little nicer in body style personally. You guys get the 2012 models on the floor April 20th I believe. They look a little better and I think they will sell more.
