Header Question
I currently have an LS, hoping to upgrade my motor in the future but I need to be a grown up for a while (finish school, buy a house etc.) but I intend on getting a GSR down the road.
Now, my question is, if I buy a header right now for my LS will it fit on a GSR?
What about Cold Air? or a cat-back?

Well..... it depends on which year.....
If I remember correctly... 94-99. The GSR's midpipe is longer, and the exhaust manifold is shorter. 00-01 you're pretty safe with that mod being transferred over, as in the lengths of everything should be bang on.
Even if you don't get a 00-01 GSR. You can always cut a section off the b-pipe to shorten it and you should be good.
But....... if you are planning on getting a aftermarket exhaust, then you don't have to deal with all this, it should all bolt up. Just don't get the 94-99 GSR system. LOL!!!
CAI I'm not sure b/c of the mounting points of the piping to the intake manifold since the GSR's intake manifold is positioned lower in the engine bay.... just stick with the stock system if you have it and use a K&N filter. The OEM arm is engineered to dissipate heat, lowing your intake charge. Keep in mind that it's only a few degrees but it still helps.
Hope that answers your Q's

ya thats a big help, I think I'll just stick with my stock intake for now anyway
correct me if i'm wrong but i think you're saying that if i buy a header/exhaust now for my LS, as long as my GSR is 00-01, than it will bolt up? will that system bolt up if i get an earlier GSR?
whats the worst that can happen? modify the exhaust system? I've heard that oil-pans sometimes become an issue (Regarding heights)
