Take the b18a out. They'll never fit under the hood together......

LMAO

anyways.... any B sereis motor drops right in and bolts to the factroy mounts on the car...it's wise to get the transmission for it too as the b16 lacks low end torque and needs shorter gears to make up for it. if you're gonna keep it OBD-0 then the B16 ecu plugs in to the factory harness and only need to add wires for vtec and knock sensor. but since you want the a2 that requires you to replace your wiring harness or get harness adapters to mate to an OBD-1 or 2 ecu. that requires more money, more work, more time and for 10hp and 6tq IMHO it's not worth it unless you do a gsr or itr swap.

Puffing blue doesn't mean it's dead. Just you have to keep adding oil and hope you don't have to go for an emissions test anytime soon.

hmmm very intresten.. the only reson why i would be going with the b16a2 is cuz i can get a pretty good deal on that motor... my motor passed e test like couple months ago then the engine started to miss fire or what ever its doing its leaking oil a bit too but meh i think its time to replace. The car has been sitting for about 3 years and i think i didn't give it a chance to break in and took it a bit too many times over 5000rpm, and the km dont help it ether 290 000 km hehe thats acura for you..

The misfire sounds like either clogged injectors, bad wiring to injectors, fowled plug, cap, rotor or dizzy. Sounds like all it needs is a tuneup. 290,000 isn't a big deal since lots of honda motors go well past 350,000 to 400,000 if taken care of. She passed emissions so can't be all bad. The leak isn't a big deal either, just messes up parking spots. Plus, forces you to keep adding clean oil which keeps the oil cleaner. If it's been parked then the best thing to do is to drive it and try to get all the sludge out. Don't use any additives, maybe just a fuel injector cleaner. A B16 with a long ratio tranny is a bad idea. Uber slow and no fun to drive.

If you're dead set on 2 motors you can try running the B16 in the rear and build a 2 engine 4wd.

Err...wouldn't an A2 swap also require changing from a cable tranny and clutch to hydro ones?

why not try to find a 2nd gen b16a from an integra xsi.....u still get the cable clutch and best part of all u get the ys1 tranny that comes with it....commonly found in the 92-93 gsr......if ur lucky it'll come with lsd like mine did.....it's just as cheap as a b16a1 if u know where to look.....

oh by the way...it's also rated 170hp as opposed to 160hp....and u get about 6 lbs/ft more torque....

thanks & i love u
