Was driving in to work today and all of a sudden my engine check light just came on out of nowhere. Never happened before and wondering if anyone had any idea's as to why it happened?

It means you should check if your engine is still there. If it is, then just put a piece of electrical tape over the light.

i have that light on since over 6 months now ..last time me wayne and sumone else tried getting the codes ..just had too many codes :LOL: ..but still running strong ..its prob my oxygen sensors ..

just get the codes !! happy decoding !! :P

 

prolly 02 sensor maybe semi plugged injector plugs alot of things. you could go to a mechanic and get a diagnostic test done to tell u. dont go an acura dealer theyll charge u like 80 plus tax. when i had all injectors plugged i got it cleaned out diagnosed and he reflashed the ecu with an updated program all for 160

 

the check engine light comes on at set intervals to remind you to service the car.it should flash 10 times for awhile before staying on permenently. its no big deal. if you wana shut it off-theres a small square button under the dash on the right side just beside the steering wheel.just hold down the button and start the car.it should turn it off.if not,try it again.
