Default cleaning rims / removing brake dust

hey all. i want to clean my rims, and i want to effectively remove brake dust from them.

what should i use?

i'm thinking maybe simple green, then follow it up w/ car wash soap and water?

It works, unless you've had the brake dust sitting on the rims for like 4 years. Just use a soft brush for stubborn areas or a rag.
