Default Check your seals on your hatch

Hey guys

I just took out my rear seat out of the teg and found on pond under them. I used a shop vac and took out about 2L of water.

If you are going to check, take some time to take the seats out. Not much to it but its easy mess them up.

If your not sure how to here a small instruction

-at the bottom of each backrest there is a plastic clip. Take it off with plyers
-once the clip is off push each backrest (left/right) away from the center, then lift enough till its off, but make sure you do this to both side before trying to take it right out of the car.
-once out you will see one 10mm bolt, that is holding the bottom (*** rest) down. Take it off then lift the back of the *** rest up and towards you then lift.

Have fun cheacking, never know you might even find some cool ----.
all I got was water and some frys haha

you sure it didn't come from leaky tail light gaskets?

didnt think of that, cause I sprayed the hatch for about 10mins and nothing went through. I`ll check the light, but it hard to beleive that the water would travel all the way under the rear seats, but anything possible.

thanks

if water sits on the sides of the trunk, around the spare tire well, all it takes is for you to hit the brakes for that water to travel forward. that was the case for me.

Tail light gaskets are a big one. Same if you have a sunroof. If the drain tubes are messed up or glogged or something, you'll see water inside
