no...i just posted this one because i just replaced my cat and it passed emmision....but its having that wierd smell...and i was just wondering..if any had the same experience...with the new cat...the mechanic said its possible because its new...

the other burning smell was about my rotors being replace and also having winter tires... i got my summer tires on but i cant tell because i got the cat replaced the same day.....but i try to sniff around the wheels and it doesnt smell as bad...but when i sniff under my car i can smell something really strong

Yes that is the new cat that is making that smell, it is normal for them to do that. The smell will go away after a bit of time.
