Default Brake Problem!

ok so my battery died on me, and i went and replaced it, while replacing it the battery tie down rod fell into the engine bay, it didnt fall under that car so i tried to put my car in nutral to move it back (there was no battery in the car) so when i dpressed the brake my car starts releasing air and the brake pedal goes all the way down.

so climbed on my engine and fished for the rod, i eventually found it and when everything was in nice an tight, i started up the car fine, but my brake pedal is still going all the way down and my car is still releasing air when i push the pedal down..meaning i cant drive cause i cant brake...any suggestions?

check to see if there is any brake fluid on the ground by the wheels. Also check to see if there is any brake fluid on the floor of the car by the pedals. Also check to see if there is any brake fluid in the master cylinder resivoir. If not you may have an internal leak in the brake booster.

-check the resivior(sp) for fluid
-if it's filled, bleed the brakes
-if it's still spongy, you need a new brake master cylinder
