Default better title: JDM B18C swap ( 96 integra LS )

*NOTE:i didnt kno where else to put this thread so im sorry if its wrong*




I HAVE A 96 LS
hey im starting a log on my current build. I have ordered a JDM b18c1 engine + tranny with 63400 km on them both ( i got to see a preview of a diff b18c1 + dash & asked the head mechanic at option jdm )
my current mods:
magnaflow big bore catback / straight pipe ( no cat.)
aem cai , with knn airfilter
ngk plugs , wires
interstate battery

my goal :
b18c1 + LSD tranny
spoon sports IV racing cams and cam gears
15" gold plated rims with deep dish chrome lip
falken azceni tires
black paintjob
not sure as what kinda clutch to get , suggestions ?
type R intake manifold
Bored to 2.0L
tein lowering springs ( 1.5 inch up front , stock rear)
plus the mods i have already

wat u think ill be making hp wise if , the JDM b18c1 has 180hp stock

good luck finding a type R tranny
i think spoon only have one set of cam for b series, they don't have any race cam for public,
competition clutch is fine, they cheap and not bad
type R IM won't fit your head, you better off a skunk2,IB or performer X.
bored to 2L? forget the B18C and go straight to K20

if you really do the above mods, i say you looking around 180-190whp (spoon cam) the max

thx for the input frozen

but im getting a JDM gsr engine + gsr tranny with a limited slip differential

and the dyno charts from buddy club on the racing spec !!! cams are a 14hp gain , so i imagine the racing spec IV cams are a bit better , and im going with racing spec IV cam gears

integra type r manifold so my current intake fits on , as well as my headers will bolt on , my exaust ,

NGK wires , plugs

im also going to get a vtec controller with a racing chipped ECU

you do realize if you put aggressive cams in you will need to probably put new valve springs/retainers

NO ....... i researched enuff

im buying everything ...... every engine part , i just didnt type it all geeze..........once the engines built ill move on to a garett t3 , then avon slicks


ill eat supras wen im done ( depending on their mods )

by the sounds of it, you're gonna build the motor like an N/A and then just slap on a turbo. :s 15psi with 11+ compression ratio and n/a cams? i wanna be there when this engine pops.

do some more research. take my word for it, it'll save you alot of money

You need to do more research if you think:

1) An ITR manifold will work on your GSR
2) A vtec controller with a "racing chipped ecu" (what the ---- is this???) will do anything without having someone competent tune it
3) think you will be eating supras

And don't just stop at the "DIY intake manifold" be sure to do the "DIY cylinder bore" too, all you need is a dremel.

If your building it for turbo, why dont you just rebuild your stock b18b for turbo. It would save you money that you could put towards other thing. Like a tru standalone and some serious dyno time. Or a quaiffe LSD for your LS tranny.

You also put spoon sport racing cams in your first post. Those are not cams ment for a turbo set-up.

you wont need your intake with a turbo

You wont need headers with a turbo

like hondata or sumthin?



and i WILL eat supras from a roll , or on slicks
ull see around next summer , ill bring the beast to a meet
it wont be to pretty :

mugen type r front lip ( CF )
seibon hood ( CF - no hood pins *theives*)
15" gold drag wheels ( there actually called drag lol)
shaved emblems
front dropped 2inch mayb less if the lip hits ---- , 1inch or less in the back

TT supras are better from a roll , my teg will be amazing from a roll

single supras can lick my *** u torqueless fool :finger:

it will be my car soon. and i mean. i have the specs i just need to get the parts









but fine dont ban me cuz ti is sick & right now i have the LS , in 2 months or less iill have the b18c1 , 2 months after , EVERY engine mod needed , ill drive around n get used to it b4 i slap on a giant turbo n get mad hp.

your lack of knowledge and legobuilding has been shown greatly within this thread.

your gonna get stage 4 cams? and aturbo kit? and a bored block? dude your trying to 2 different directions at once.

You gotta make a choice whether you want your car NA or turbo. then you decide on your build upon that decision.

Ill betcha 100 bucks once you empty your bank account on that b18c swap you wont be gettin no turbo kit. not for a while anyway.

picked up a cf hood today from option jdm

SOOOOOOOOO MUCH NICER then my friends cf hood on his teg , any cf hood ive seen around adot , rhill , oaks , newmarket etc......

mad tight weave if i do say so

and its OEM style ,meaning NO HOOD PINS

Oh btw oem style hood means it's like the oem hood with no hood scoops and such. it has nothing to do with hood pins. what the point in telling you since you apparently know everything. lol
